Wish I could give an accurate review. We are tourists and this place was recommended to us at a different bar. A bar that we walked into with our $50 worth of Hattie B’s take out to bring back to our hotel 15 miles away. Arrived at tootsies and were not allowed in unless we threw out our bag. The “bouncer” was very rude, condescending and arrogant. Very low class in my opinion. Had been to three other locations, who also served food, and did not say anything about our take out bag. He suggested we go back to one if those locations. We asked to leave it with the bartender and was told, “ if anyone eats it and gets sick, they are held responsible.. (never heard of that). Don’t be like that guy. Probably won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend based off our first impression. Wife and I had lunch Sunday - 2 grilled chicken sandwiches. Absolutely terrible. Worst food we’ve eaten in long time. Amber ale was great but 16.50?! Wow.

I’m incredibly disappointed by our experience at Tootsie’s in Nashville. My friend, who has a prosthetic leg, was denied entry because staff claimed she “walked with a stagger.” When we pointed out that this was discriminatory, the response we received was, “file a lawsuit.” A security guard nearby doubled down by saying, “It’s Nashville—if they don’t like the color of your shirt, they don’t have to let you in.”
We were stunned by the blatant disregard for basic human decency and equal access. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a city that prides itself on hospitality. We will never return to Tootsie’s or support any other business owned by the same group. Others should be aware of how they treat people. Please do not give them your business.

The management/security is terrible. I had no complaints from patrons or bar staff. Both bands called me out for being very energetic and supportive while they played.
Security showed up and we had a table in the back and I had leaned up on a barstool so I could clap and support the band. No one had a problem with it. No one. Security showed up and asked me to get down. I got down on the floor without issue. Security kept mouthing off and kicked my wife and I out of the club. Very rude and security just trying to flex. I’ve NEVER been kicked out of any bar or club. Their loss and I’ll make sure everyone knows about it. I’ll never go back.

This place is nuts! Three (and a half) stories tall, three separate stages, rooftop outdoor bar overlooking the main drag and lots of fun people. We were there mid-afternoon and the place was hummin'. Can't imagine what it's like at night! This is a must see/do!!

CLASSIC. Worth stopping in. 3 levels of honky tonk. Drink prices are not for the weak of heart though. Be prepared and if you're on a budget, ask ahead of time. Great vibes tho. Can be shoulder to shoulder during peak times.

Place is definitely packed every night especially after a preds game. However if you are standing on the rooftop in the winter prepare to not have heat out there. It’s definitely a way to keep people listening to the bands inside. Also the drink prices are cheap for broadway and the service is good too just wish I brought a sharpie to write on the wall.

I am a transgender and I was asked to leave this bar cuz I use female bathroom but I told them I identify myself as female but they say it is Tennessee‘s law. I am discriminated by this bar. We are all human and I could not pick to be born. Why they ask me to leave ??
