I'm bummed to have to write this review! I've previously loved TFK, but their quality has plummeted in the last few months. I only gave two stars because I love their mission with sustainable sourcing and healthy cooking methods, but my meals have been borderline inedible recently. In my most recent order of Ancient Grains Bowl with steak, my steak (that I paid an extra $9 for) was either cooked into oblivion or basically raw--no in between. Most of the sweet potatoes were undercooked to the point of being crunchy. This has been the case with the last 3-4 times I have ordered it. The flavors are great, but the poor cooking makes it inedible. For the price, the quality is absolutely unacceptable.

Waiter was attentive and helpful to offer suggestions—great for guests like me with multiple food allergies. Ironic: True Food really hyped their air-fried French fries as crispy... so I ordered them, anticipating crispy/crisped... the order definitely should have been cooked longer, so was disappointing. Again, the attentive waiter insisted on removing the fries from our bill. Overall, other food choices were good and creatively prepared.

I wanted to love this place, but it was just MEH! The Air-fryer chicken strips were OK, but the accompanying kale slaw was disappointing, and I'm a fan of kale. I took these items to eat later. In-house, I had the Korean glass noodle bowl. This was just not palatable at all, and it wasn't what I expected. It was a sloppy bowl of noodles with a brown-ish broth and vegetables served warm, not hot, or cold, so I couldn't decide which it was supposed to be. My lunch companion ordered the Chinese chicken salad, which looked fabulous and was huge. I will try this place again, but I will be super mindful and will read the descriptions very carefully and ask questions about preparations before ordering.

Terrible service, I order a delivery of one of their burgers and sweet potato and I got watermelon and this extremely salty noodle soup with hardly anything in the container. Won’t ever go back.

Food options were great! But the chicken and fish dishes we ordered were dry and overcooked. Poor execution of some tasty items.
Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our food was good, nothing special about it. The atmosphere felt unclean. There were several areas of the floor that were buckling, many places in the ceiling were dripping, there was a foul odor in the air, in view of everyone a worker was pounding pounds of chicken and throwing it into bins. The restaurant should not have been open for business.

So disappointed. I was excited to see Nashville had a true food kitchen. Really love this place whenever it first came to Austin eight or nine years ago. I ordered twice and both times everything was either burnt, hard, dry, or lacking flavor. Their Horchata bevy was tasty though. Sadly, based on my experiences the last two times, it doesn’t make sense to try again. :(
