Walkability: Is in walking distance to many cute little wine bars and restaurants.Food & drinks: Food here is amazing. The cheese sandwich and soup where delicious as well as the salad. Drinks were great as well.

Haven't stayed here, but the view from 3Crow is outstanding. Hoping this key was able to finish. Update: Looks like he couldn't stay hard, so she tried blowing him. Unfortunately (despite her best efforts), he was unable to perform. Overall a disappointing performance.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. Stay far away! I can't comment on the stay as we were never able to actually check in. I wasn't able to get in touch with anyone about our scheduled stay despite our 100% pre-payment. We had to find another hotel and were never did get any response from the Van Dyke despite our repeated calls, emails, and our reaching out to them on their social media channels. A real shame. Hopefully this review saves someone the trouble that we went through.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. Despite 100% pre-paying for our reservation to stay here, we were unable to get in touch with anyone before our trip to get confirmation. We reached out repeatedly with calls, emails, and on social media. Despite all of this, we were never able to get in touch with anyone or actually check in. We had to go ahead and book another reservation somewhere else and we never did get a reply from Van Dyke. Hopefully I can save someone else the trouble that we had. Be careful and stay far, far away.

Unfortunately, I can't actually review our stay as we were unable to ever check in. We pre-paid for a stay in January of '23, but we were never able to actually get in touch with anyone to confirm it or to check-in. After numerous calls, emails, and reaching out on social media, we gave up and booked another hotel. I'm leaving this review so that it hopefully saves someone else the trouble that we went through. Horrible customer service before we could even get in the door. Stay far, far away.

Our stay was not good at all. Had a bad experience down to staff attitudes and service. Most staff are 18 at best and completely inexperienced. Couldn’t get any room service for food (a basic requirement for a supposedly 4 Star Hotel). I was also basically told “tough” that our room hadn’t been serviced by 3pm down to the fact that only 1 housekeeper was working as “it was Christmas Day” ! In that case if you cannot provide the service, do not open on Christmas Day then ! When I complained, I was then followed outside by a “Gang” of male staff as I suggested I was heading out for a cigarette. We then had a standoff outside the hotel entrance as I was told I couldn’t smoke there (in the open air at the top of the main steps) and this was done in a threatening, aggressive manner. After the Christmas meal (average at best for the £230 charged !), I was then followed into the bar area by another member of staff and asked to sign my Christmas Meal Drinks Bill AGAIN, which I had JUST already signed for ! Then we were advised for the 2nd day in a row that Food Room Service was not available (as reiterated earlier, a basic requirement for a 4 Star Hotel) I did try and explain about my complaints during my stay but to no avail, all I got was a mob handed response each time, by a load of all I can describe as Children who work for you in supposed Managerial Roles. So there go, our Christmas short stay Ruined ……………. And a £1150 bill for the privilege ……………. We did come over to Van Dykes regularly for Sunday Roasts and Meals but this will not be happening again after our Festive Experience. and Don't employ Children to Run a Supposed 4 Star Hotel

DO NO BOOK THIS HOTELWe were jipped out of staying here. I booked this in June and then found out the hotel got purchased and is under new ownership. Didn’t really think it would be a concern or issue. As I got closer to going there for our stay, I didn’t receive and communication from the hotel confirming our stay which was concerning. I started calling and emailing the hotel leading into our stay and got zero calls back and zero email returns. We showed up to the property to begin our stay and no one was onsite so I called “Cristina” who “personally” emailed about the change in management and got no returned calls (even with leaving voicemails). We then had to book a new hotel for our stay.I finally was able to get ahold of someone via Airbnb (seems the hotel is no run through that) to which they apologized and said they would issue a refund within 5-10 days. It’s now been two weeks and I still haven’t gotten a refund despite them saying they issued it. I have now had to report this as fraud through my credit card company.DO NO BOOK THIS HOTEL

I never got to stay here as I had to cancel my reservation due to covid. Instead of offering to rebook us (like, at all. Not inferring a discount, just booking again at a later date), they instead insisted we pay the small remaining balance which wasn't collected at booking. When I pointed out that we were doing the ethical thing by not knowingly bringing covid into their establishment, they instead continued to insist on the paying the balance. Very strange. I'd steer clear. Note; this booking was during a period where a more potent variant was going around.

Wish I could give zero stars. Horrible! I had a signed contract, with a deposit paid, for my wedding and wedding reception. The new owners dragged us along for months saying they would honor it and then CANCELLED 7 months before our wedding. We now have no wedding venue or place for our out of town guests to stay and they couldn’t care less.

New management is terrible! Unresponsive and zero customer service! While planning a wedding I had heard through other companies in the industry that they were unreliable but thought i would give them a shot anyway. Big mistake! The new owners were impossible to work with as they simply did not reply to emails. Ultimately, they ended up not honoring our contract (with deposit paid) I STRONGLY discourage planning any sort of event here.

Run! Do NOT book an event/rooms with this place! New management is terrible! They did not honor the contract (with the deposit paid) Ending up canceling our event and have to start planning all over again. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

My stay was a major letdown. Having booked my room, I was told later that the bar had closed.I was then told that the A/C was broken in the room that I had booked and was moved to another room. I was then overcharged. While my room was nicely designed and comfortable, the management is awful. I hope that they will eventually be able to get their act together.

Rude manager. Rude staff. They can't handle a "large" party when they're slow. We had 10 people for a birthday party and they treated us like trash.

My wife and I booked a reservation at VanDyke (aug 11-14) and were super disappointed to learn that things have changed re: ownership. The bar is closed, check-in makes us uncomfortable and the recent reviews are downright concerning. We’ve reached out to the text and email contact, the phone is disconnected, and we’re starting to feel really jipped.There’s so much that Nashville has to offer, but this is downright scummy. Stay away. Stay far far away.
