Chicken sandwich can be inconsistent. A handful of times, the chicken is tough. Mostly great though. Always good service. I'm not sure atmosphere is what people look for here.

For sure, I am a BBQ snob. * You can't spend years as a pit master and not be. The Pulled Pork here is OK, not terrible by any means, just not amazing. The Mac and Cheese was really good, and in my opinion, the star of the show. The vinegar based minimal ingredient slaw was also OK. In comparison to other local 'Q places, this is solidly middle of the road. Service was friendly and competent There was nothing not to like, just nothing that blows your socks off.
This was my first time trying Whitt's. I wanted something different for lunch. I went with the loaded turkey potato with the turkey on the side. The turkey was moist. The flavor was good. Not the best turkey ever, but certainly good. The potato was cooked perfectly. I would definitely try this again.

I went to Whitts Barbecue after my daughter's am appointment craving some good ribs and chicken. I drove to my daughter's 2nd appointment which was 20 minutes away. I had about 30 minutes to spare, so I parked, and with excitement ready to dig into my rib plate found the ribs were old, and very dry. Down right disgusting. I spent $32 for a rib plate, 5 wings and a drink. Sadly the chicken and cornbread was dry as well. This is so sad people spend their hard earned money looking and expecting something great to receive trash. That's exactly what my meal was, trash. You all definitely should do better. I traveled out of town for these appointments, I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with my lunch that I couldn't even eat. Wasted my money.

Our recent experience at Whitts in Ashland City was profoundly disappointing. Having grown up in Ashland City, I have always loved Whitts' loaded baked potatoes. During our family vacation in Hendersonville, I was excited to visit Whitts and relive those fond memories. We ordered and paid through the app, ensuring we arrived at the specified pick-up time. However, upon arrival, we were informed that they had no record of our order and that several items we had paid for were unavailable.
Despite being told that we would need to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for 2 of the 6 potatoes, we decided not to wait and requested an additional pound of pork and a loaf of cornbread instead, along with our existing order of one pound of turkey and two slabs of ribs. We were assured that this was not an issue and asked to wait outside.
Several minutes later, an employee brought out only three of the four potatoes and one pound of turkey. When I pointed out the incomplete order, I was met with resistance. After waiting another 20 minutes with no further communication, I went inside to inquire. The staff continued to argue, insisting that we had received everything we ordered. After an additional 15 minutes of waiting, with our food now cold, I requested an update. The response was dismissive, blaming the delay on the potatoes. Frustrated, I asked for a refund for the missing items, to which the staff rudely responded, refusing to refund the entire order and citing their own inconvenience.
Ultimately, I requested the missing pound of pork and declined the potatoes. We left with cold, hour-old food and a total bill of $130. This experience was unacceptable, and I will not be returning to Whitts. I hope they address these issues to provide a better customer experience in the future.
