The food was SO fresh and clearly made to order. We got the chicken poppers, teriyaki chicken plate, and the miso soup. Everything was DELICIOUS. Service was also wonderful.

Awesome Japanese fare in a cozy little place! The people are very nice, give large portion sizes, and the service is very fast. It's affordable and near Vandy campus as well which is a plus. They also recently expanded the menu, so there's lots of good selection.
Good customer service. I asked for a small fried rice & a 6pc wing fried hard. Wings were good, but I was highly disappointed in the plain white rice they gave me because I ordered "Fried Rice!" It had no peas, carrots or bean sprouts!!

Very friendly staff and some unique decorations. Food tastes fresh. Unfortunately the food was pretty bland. Veggies were completely unseasoned as was the tofu. Only choice is to drown everything in overpowering teriyaki sauce. Ramen noodles were decent, not great. Toppings were very sparse. Broth was aight. Again, tofu was completely unseasoned. Eating tofu like that is what makes people think they don't like tofu. This place has some potential if they step it up with the seasonings and marinate their tofu.
Vegetarian options: Tofu instead of meat.

It was clean and delicious. It's a small store, but it's clean and friendly. The food is also great for this price. Teriyaki and white rice are delicious. They also serve vegetables and miso soup. I visited Vanderbilt twice with my child. It also suits Korean tastes well. May you prosper.

Very good! Loved the teriyaki sauce and the miso, and the texture of the rice was perfect! My husband enjoyed the chicken and my son loved the ramen! The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Shrimp roll appetizers were excellent as were the broccoli, carrots and miso soup. Teriyaki shrimp was disappointing as the shrimp seemed cooked on too high a flame and rice was overcooked, gummy and hard around the edges. Felt like I was getting the the bottom of the rice vat. Fresher fried rice and slower cooked teriyaki shrimp would have made my first encounter a lot better.
