We’re always looking for local diners and eateries rather than the corporate chain places and this one nailed it! It was pretty busy when we pulled up but the server (carhop?) came and took our order right away. We noticed that meals would be brought out to cars and they would leave, and a new car would almost instantly take its place, some of them having called their order in and getting it brought out to them immediately. I was certain they had to be noting the vehicle on the ticket or something so when my meal was brought out I asked, I was surprised to learn that no, they don’t write your vehicle on the ticket. They do it all by memory! Every. Single. Vehicle that came up and ordered, they just remembered which one ordered what. It’s not like guests sitting at stationary tables in a standard restaurant. The gray Camry left and now a maroon Mazda was in its place, then the Hyundai was replaced by a Prius etc etc. but each one got their order. It was pretty impressive to watch! Finally, the bacon double cheeseburger, chicken strips, and french fries were definitely the local diner style food we had been looking for. Will certainly eat here again the next time we’re back in Newport.

Debbies Drive Inn is the Best lil drive inn . The food is outstanding and the service is always spot on .The girls working there are very friendly and are so nice . Even when it's raining and everyone is there to get their food is nice and dry in their car but these ladies are out in the weather with a smile on their face. My favorite 2 things I get from there is #1- Hamburger steak Dinner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Comes with small salad and krinkle fries... delicious thehamburger steak is so good and juicy..it is always cooked to perfection.
My second favorite is The Club sandwich ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It comes with hot krinkle fries and the bread on the sandwich is seared to a golden delicious perfection. Corn dogs 👍 Hot dogs 👍 Delicious and cold Soft Serve icecream..... they make the biggest banana split I've ever seen. It too is delicious.
Lady took my order while smoking a cigarette, she wasn't happy at all to be there. The place just had a presence of darkness all around it. The food didn't taste like actually beef. Just being honest, I wouldn't come here again

Not really impressed. Chicken salad was very poor. Hamburgers where worse than gas station quality. Tots where okay. Been here 3 times now and haven't found anything worthy of more than 2 stars.
