“I’m a big fan of fajitas, especially when they come out sizzling, so that’s usually my go-to at Mexican restaurants. This time I tried the Hawaiian fajitas with pineapple and shrimp. They came out hot and sizzling like they should, and the quality was good, but the pineapple just didn’t do it for me. I prefer a more traditional fajita, so that part is just personal taste, not a knock on the cooking. The portion was large though — I had enough left over to make four full tortillas the next day.

We were there for my father’s birthday, and everyone else really enjoyed their meals. My son mentioned several times how good the steak was, which says a lot. Service was friendly and attentive the whole time, and the atmosphere was what you’d expect from a small-town Mexican restaurant — booths, tables, relaxed, and comfortable.

Prices were surprisingly reasonable for dinner for four people, even with a giant Dos Equis I couldn’t pass up. My father asked for a non-alcoholic beer and they didn’t have one, but it wasn’t a big deal.
Overall a solid place with good food, good service, and fair prices. I’d come back — just sticking with the classic fajitas next time.

“We ordered here for the 1t time today. we got a few minutes down the road and a random number called, we reluctantly answered and worker explained he just realized he put something on our pizza that we had not ordered. he was super apologetic and offered to make a new one. we were already headed home and it wasn't anything that would make a big fuss. I have high respect for this place to actually call us to tell us about the mistake. Food was good and we had no problem removing the olives.”

The pasta was perfectly cooked (true al dente), the sauces were rich and well-balanced, and everything tasted fresh — not overly salted or heavy like many places. You can tell attention is paid to ingredients and preparation. The pizza had a beautifully crisp crust with just the right chew, and the portions were generous without sacrificing quality. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Staff checked in at the right times and were knowledgeable about the menu. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a genuine Italian kitchen rather than a chain restaurant experience, Portofino is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be back.”
