This was my first time and it was really good everything we ordered was amazing we will definitely be back nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Our server Kylie was an absolute sweetheart and I will make sure to ask for her the next time I visit for sure but definitely a great place to eat in that area.

Good grief plan to wait over an hour for your food. 1 hour and 26 minutes from the time we entered until we got our food. The place wasn't even busy. We won't be back

I placed a to go order at 6:15pm. A Rueben with Cajun fries, kids pizza with macaroni, a loaded sweet potato, and clam chowder and some ranch. They told us it would be 30 minutes. We showed up 45 minutes later and my husband went inside while I waited in the car with our daughter.
He was told to go to the bar area to pick it up. He waited there for 30 minutes for our order while several other people got their orders. The whole time one of the bartenders kept asking him if he wanted to sit and have a drink even though he said no, that his wife and daughter were waiting in the car. Rude.
They give him our food and we came home. Here’s where it gets terrible.
The Rueben did not have dressing and we did not get our fries. My daughter’s pizza was literally sour cream for sauce and they gave her regular fries instead of macaroni which was thrown on top of the melted cheese making everything stick together in a nasty cheese pie. I was given French onion soup instead of clam chowder and when I opened it up to eat it they had put plain wheat bread inside of it which had disintegrated into the soup, making it inedible. My loaded sweet potato was a plain sweet potato. And no ranch was given.
They sold us slop. We will not be back.

Was told not to come back by the manager because I complained that my Ribeye that I ordered was tough and it took an hour to get it to our table ? The others that I was with got Prime Rib (rare, mind you) and my daughter got a sirloin that was charred on the outside but medium rare on the inside (ordered medium well). After waiting an hour I feel as if I had the right to complain but I was told “well, don’t come back then”. Our server told us she was new and she was great and attentive. This is the 1st time I’ve been to this establishment in about 10 years but I used to eat here all the time. Mr. manager, I won’t be back.

Manager was very interactive with his own staff and customers.I sat at the bar side and the atmosphere was fun and easy going. The bar tender was kind,funny, and quick with providing service. I order a few drinks and an appetizer . Food was good and drinks made well . I always try to stop in fox and hounds every few months on my way through Newport. No matter what time of day. I have never had bad service

Worst management customer service I have ever seen. We went here for the first time I ordered a open faced prime rib 16.00 and came with mashed potatoes, I Asked for baked sweet potato instead, and ordered soup, the other order was a sirloin steak approximately 40.00 and it came with mashed potatoes that were seriously dry, and 2 sides soup and salad. The soup was French onion and was very good, they were out of croutons for the salad. Our waitress was excellent except for the end but I still feel the negativity came from the manager. Our waitress said she made a mistake and entered wrong meal into the register, the manager kept asking out loud did I eat the whole thing and insisted that I ordered the large prime rib, was beyond rude, even explaining it to her several times she kept insisting that I ordered something I didn’t. Manager insisted that we upset our waitress and she didn’t want to talk to us. After words exchanged manager followed us out to my car to fight. Obviously we won’t be back feel sorry for our waitress. But we could have gotten better quality food at Holston’s for much less with truly professional management. My 16.00 meal became 38.00

The worst Ruben I've ever had. It was cut down the middle to make 2 triangles and all the meat was in one with barely any sour kraut, and the other half was mostly kraut. There was no dressing on the sandwich. I had to put it on myself. The sandwich was not worth the cost unfortunately. There were only about 6 people in the whole place. Went there to try and support a local business after the hurricane and I had always heard it was good. Despite my 3-star review, I do suggest going to try it for yourself. I just got a bad sandwich, I'm sure it's not like that every time, but I didn't enjoy it at all, so it gets 3 stars.
Food is always great here. But tonight I brought my girlfriend here because she had never been here. But the flies were so bad we had to fight them to eat. She has a fly in her soup. We showed it to the waitress. Not even sorry. Then we asked for the manager and he acted like he didn't even care. Then charged us for the soup she couldn't eat. It was a real disappointment to me. I was trying to show her how good the fox and hound was. But our meal was just ruined.
