It's been awhile since I've been there. last time we were we were a large party and the steaks were terrible and so was the service. My main question is before I will ever go back I want to make sure they are not putting or marinating the steaks in Worcestershire sauce anymore. We could clearly tell that was done to our steaks that night.

Alittle intimidating when you arrive but go on in, order some great food.

Took the whole family for steak dinners this evening and we loved this place!! The steaks were juicy and tender. Sides were great, freshly made salad dressings and the onion rings were crunchy and fantastic.
Our server was so on top of things that we never really had to ask for anything! We even got to meet the owner/chef and she was so personable and funny. Will definitely visit this place again the next time we’re in town!!

So we had not been here in years and had friends in from out of town and wanted something not in the thick of traffic. It's a little out of the way, in a good way, they have painted and remodeled and have a new cook. Food was amazing. The speakeasy has killer vibes and our waitress, Abby, was on top of it!! If you haven't been, give this place a visit. We all had steaks, which came with soup, salad, and a side. We also had desert. Everything was delicious. We will be back. We also had a group of 8 which is never easy but for Abby, it seemed a breeze!

We had ate here a few years ago, and my husband loved it so much that we had to come back since we were in the area.

I ordered a New York strip and that's not what I got. It was mostly fat and gristle and my wife ordered a piece of filet which was a piece of thin sirloin folded over to look like a 6oz filet. No apitizers and still spent over $100 for lousy meat. My rice pilaf was just brown rice and my wife's baked potato had nothing on it and they didn't give you anything to put on it. Also the waitress didn't know how to make a gin and tonic

I been following them for years on Facebook and finally got to go and was not disappointed. The atmosphere, the food, the staff was great. There was live music. If we lived in Newport we would be there a lot

There is a sign at the door that says if you have a bad attitude you should leave. I think the owner needs to read her own sign. It’s not our fault that the food came out incorrect. She didn't need to come out and yell at us.
After waiting over 30 minutes We finally got to place our order.
One of us ordered a black and blue salad. Blue means blue cheese right?
Not here. Instead they put on mozzarella. The person that ordered it doesnt like mozzarella so sent it back. That was the first strike against us.
I ordered a loaded baked potato. Any other loaded baked potato I have had included cheddar cheese, real bacon and sometimes onions. Not here. This one just had mozzarella cheese on it.
Mozzarella must have been the cheese of the day because the salad was covered in it as well.

When I asked where the bacon was they sent out a side of bacon bits (aka fake bacon). I said I didnt want to pay extra for a loaded potato that wasnt a loaded potato. That was strike two.

Another lady order fresh cut fries. She saw them on someone elses plate and thought they looked really good. Instead what she got was thick sliced potatoes. Well this was strike three against us. When she said thats not what she ordered the owner came out put the plate in front of her and said they are from the same bag of potatoes and she should just eat them! She also said a few other things about not paying for bacon and something else. I missed some of it because I was so shocked by what she did.
Also the scallops were overcooked but that poor girl was afraid to say anything.

In all fairness the burgers were good but the steak was overcooked. Not medium rare like I ordered. I didn't dare complain about that. At least it was tender.

Its not our fault that your kitchen cant get it together and Ive never been to a restaurant that made you eat what you didn't order.
Sadly I do not recommend the Grease Rack. Enter at your own risk.

French onion soup was a hit. Salmon was way over salted, couldn't finish it, but was still very good! Staff was friendly and nice. Will return again

The Grease Rack was a huge disappointment. Ribeye was $42 and worth about $25. Ordered medium rare and had to be remade as it was medium well.

Was expecting it to be busy based on Facebook photos. They apparently hired a great marketing firm. We were the only people sitting outside by the creek. But the place was definitely not busy.

Server was awesome. That was the highlight.
