Went for a few drinks and to play pool. They only have 1 pool table. I recommend they get another bc a lot of ppl had their money on the table to play. Service and atmosphere was good.

Wow!!! It is great that it is open again!!! We travel quite often, and Newport is one of our favorite stops, and having Michael's open again is GREAT!! Wonderful service, Awesome food and GREAT music, Atmosphere is great, my wife and I highly recommend it, and the fact that it is a LOCAL business is the extra plus!! Support your locals and have a Great time, I had the Angus burger and the wife had the chicken strips with the Cajun sauce. Awesome ?

Between 2017 and 2019, we would have dinner here during our travels between TN and NC. The food and atmosphere were always a 5-star experience.In Dec. 2023, we stopped here for the 1st time since Dec 2019. The atmosphere went high-end lounge to a backwoods bar with food that wouldn't cut it at a convenience store. The chicken wings were the size of the pinky finger on the hand of a small adult. The pulled pork was a mush of a over powering sauce and what I think was pork - couldn't tell by the taste. Definitely not the dining experience to waste money on.
