In town helping someone find an apartment and Google suggested this place for dinner. Lovely little place, clean and friendly. Waiter actually sounded like he might be Italian. Pizza and grilled chicken salad were excellent. Service during busy dinner was a little slow, but only because of crowds. Will return when I visit the area!

Great pizza... probably the best Nolensville has to offer. I have not tried any of their other dishes but they looked good when spying others food. My only complaint is that prices are a little on the high side but if your after a quality pie in Nolensville this is your place.

This is my first time here and I’ve been in Nashville for nine years I just wish I would have found this sooner excellent food that’s not overwhelming with the perfect taste!

A Slice of Life at Amico's New York Pizza - A Tale of Culinary Highs and Lows

Venturing into the heart of local flavor, my wife and I followed a tip from a town insider and landed at Amico's New York Pizza. The journey through their menu proved to be a rollercoaster of flavors and experiences.

From the moment we stepped in, we were whisked into a warm embrace of hospitality, greeted by a charming server who danced through our conversation in fluent Spanish, making us feel right at home. The service was swift and sweet, setting the stage for what we hoped would be a feast to remember.

Our appetizer, the garlic knots, promised delight but delivered disappointment, tasting like relics of a bygone microwave era, tough on the bite and shy on flavor. However, the culinary plot thickened with the arrival of our main courses. My Chicken Parmesan was a lackluster affair, a bland ensemble hastily thrown together, leaving my taste buds in a dreary waltz of mediocrity.

In stark contrast, my wife's Penne a la Vodka with Italian sausage was a scene-stealer. Each forkful was a festival of flavors, so much so that I was tempted to pull an old-fashioned heist to make her plate my own. Alas, love prevailed over greed, and I contented myself with the generous tastes she shared.

The backdrop of Amico's was an ode to casual dining - a lively pizzeria vibe that invited laughter and chatter, making it a perfect gathering spot for friends escaping the daily grind. While the pricing felt ambitious against the mixed culinary performance, the hefty portions provided some solace.

All told, our evening at Amico's was a symphony of hits and misses. The radiant service and vibrant atmosphere were highlights, painting over the culinary blips. Should you find yourself meandering through their menu, do aim for the Penne a la Vodka--it's a star performance not to be missed.

It is very rare when I post any reviews that are unfavorable but tonight I just felt I had to. First, we have eaten at this establishment numerous times and it has been good (not great but good). My husband suggested that we order a pizza & salad to have delivered to our home so I didn’t have to cook. We did. The pizza toppings were all on one side of the pizza when we opened the box. Ok, I can move the toppings but the salad was totally wilted like it had been put together yesterday. Extremely disappointed. I don’t get a lot of nights off …. I guess I just expected more.

Really great food. Calamari was worth the drive alone. Whole calamari not just the rings. Sauces were great. Pizza crust, crispy and chewy. Perfect.

I ordered a salad, which was delicious. However, I want to write about the exceptional service I got. I am a teacher who works on the other side of town. I was at a training and they broke for lunch and I was hungry!
I found Amico's, walked in, and up to the register. The man, who turned out to be the manager, asked what I would like to have. I admitted I was in a bit of a rush and wondered how long the food would take. He said it depended on what I ordered. He sat me down, took my order, and even though the restaurant was rather full of the lunch rush, personally got my salad to me. He was so sweet and attentive! I ate and left. If the manager is that nice, then I assume the staff he hired was nice as well. I'll be back to try the pizza! ?

Vegetarian options: You can ask them to leave off the meat, making items vegetarian.

Parking: During the lunch rush, the strip mall parking was full.

Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant atmosphere

Wheelchair accessibility: Just wheel in!

Real homestyle Italian dishes and pizza! We like the stuffed shells and lasagna best. Fresh salads and garlic bread on the side.
