I'm visiting from out of town and someone recommended I go here for dinner and I am so glad that I did. What a great place! Great atmosphere with live music (Jerry was the musician with a broad range of songs) that wasn't too loud. The service and food were both excellent. Kara was my server and such a pleasure to talk with about the town. Chef Kyle put together a delectable seafood entree that was nicely presented and perfectly portioned for a hungry guy like myself....
We stopped in The River Bistro last Saturday for lunch. It was not very busy and we were seated promptly. My wife and I both had the red snapper with smashed potatoes and corn. The snapper was surprisingly good as were the potatoes. A salad bar came with the meal and it was fresh and tasty although I could have used another choice of dressing. Waitress and manager were very friendly and accommodating. Fun rustic location.
Went with friends to try Cynthia's River Bistro. What a delightful find! A great menu but the salad and lunch bar had a nice variety of options so I tried small amounts of everything. The food was superb. I especially liked the pork dish w peaches. Our server, who was great, suggested Cynthia's home made carrot cake w/Dickel glaze. It was yummy too. We were able to chat with Cynthia and the chef. I always like knowing who is preparing the food and both are committed...
