Blown away by how good this place is. The nori on my handroll was toasted. The miso soup was excellent. Rolls were all top notch. Outstanding service. Beautifully presented food. This is levels above any other sushi I have had in TN.
The lunch hibachi portions were a good size for the price and the sushi was great on the other hand the fried rice is kind of tasteless and the came with no sauces and when asked for teriyaki sauce was given a sweet hennessy sauce instead but over all the food was okay the atmosphere was better!

Hard to find an authentic Japanese restaurant here in East Tennessee. I ate in a lot of really good authentic Japanese restaurants in the Philippines and what we have here in East Tennessee are not close to those I had. Anyway, i gave up finding really good Japanese resto here. Now, with Kume, food are reasonably priced. Kinda hit and miss though on the food. Tofu was so good: crispy outside and soft inside.
