We typically enjoy McAlister's Deli. However, this location was a huge disappointment. The staff seemed more interested in eating behind the cash register and chatting amongst themselves than taking our order. There was only one other couple in there besides us so we were shocked at the lack of customer service.
The potatoes were cold. We ordered a signature salad and they gave us the wrong dressing, which we didn't realize untill we took a bite. When we asked for the correct one, they acted like it was an inconvenience and just slid it to us with a sigh. When ordering, I inquired if I could get a sandwich (Italian) gluten free. The cashier asked the cook who said yes. When the manager brought our meal to our table, she gave us a stern warning how they could never do that again for that sandwich and they shouldn't have done it (gave us gluten free bread) this time?? I paid for the upcharge and asked if possible beforehand. Our dinner was over $70 for my husband, myself and our two daughters with two of us having water. I work too hard for my money to patron places that are rude and could care less about offering any form of customer service or take pride in their work. Too many other good places to eat.

People were nice. Food was ok, but a Cuban is supposed to come toasted. Bathroom was filthy. No toilet paper. None. Floors were disgusting. Had to clean the toilet to use it. Absolutely disgusting. Also the entire self serve soda machine was empty. But they let you purchase a soda anyway without sharing that information. Then offered tea or lemonade or Coke. The unsweetened tea was tasteless.

Nachos were extremely salty and soggy. Rest of party said sandwiches were fine. Restroom and dining area could use a good cleaning. Pleasant environment. Music was too loud.

If I'm going to pay $20 for a club sandwich and a bag of chips you're going to have to start using smaller plates you cut my club sandwich into quarters put the pieces on each corner of a big square plate. it makes my $20 sandwich look like hors d'oeuvres. lol

A nice place on the inside, spacious and clean. Very friendly staff, definitely enjoyed talking with them. My Wife and I both ordered the French dip sandwiches with a steamed broccoli side dish. The sandwich itself was great, with lots of beef and an enjoyable amount of swiss cheese. The broccoli side was nice and tender but still with a bit of crunch.
Our only issue was with the AuJus dip, it really didn't have much flavor to it. It needs a more beefy flavor. It was good for dipping but just needed that beefy grab.
Overall happy with the visit, next time we will be trying their tasty sounding potato dishes and really good sounding salads.
Stay tuned for more updates from McAlister's!!
Post addendum,
McAlister's, add beef bouillon and maybe a touch of soy sauce to the AuJus and it might be better.
Thank you!!!
