Horrible food, and for what you get it’s pretty expensive. But it’s the only option. It reminds me of an american high school cafeteria, and it really leaves a bad impression on an otherwise great national lab.

Salad bar is fresh, huge variety, fast, and crazy affordable.
The cafeteria is busy and Sandwiches are a pretty good option too. The cashier's are awesomely friendly. I tend to skip the hot options sure to the line and it's typically less healthy.

Wanted a philly cheese steak wrap without onions and peppers but the girl insisted that I get a roast beef wrap instead since it would be "cheaper". It wasn't what I wanted but I didn't want to argue with the girl since she was the one making it. It was cold and disappointing. I was looking forward to having a hot lunch instead of cold deli meat.

Really delicious, they make great panini sandwhiches and have lots of snacking options.
It's okay, not great. The hot bar food is rarely hot ... sometimes barely even warm. Fresh lemons and oranges for the tea are a particularly nice touch, so that pulled them up to three stars.
Oak Ridge National Laboratory Visitor Center has the best science fair events. My two son’s Diamond and Rain learn a lot of amazing educational information from their science fair downtown. They had trailers of new up to date science and electronic exhibits with volunteers near by to answer any questions. This was a very fun educational family event that was also free to the community.
Absolute waste of money. Chef CAN NOT even make a simple bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. Ordered it on plain bread with bacon, egg & cheese only. Bread was covered in butter & grilled. I am allergic to tomatoes and two slices are a bit excessive on a plain sandwich. Got a tea to go, but had to pour it out since they didnt have any lids for the cup. All in all a waste of $5.37 for one bite of a buttery sauteed tomatoe.
Buddy's BBQ.
Bring your own lunch.
The waste receptacles always say "thank you."

The lasagna is actually quite good.
Don't order.
