“We were visiting with our son who lives in East Nashville and he took us here to eat lunch. He’s been there before and thought we would like it. He was so very right! When you walk in, the place looks cozy and beautiful. You order at the counter and pick your own seat. If dining in they will bring your order to your table. We had the Cuban sandwich, chicken melt and veggie wrap all with fries. The bread was so tasty, light and perfectly crispy toasted. The sandwiches were so delicious that you wanted to eat it all even though you were filled. My son really enjoyed his wrap too. The serving sizes were so big. The amount of fries they gave you was amazing and by the way the fries were perfectly seasoned and so so tasty! I ordered the butterfly lemonade and it was not only beautiful but delicious too! They have an entire drink menu with different teas, coffees, lemonades and other drinks. You can also purchase teas and coffees to take home. This is definitely some place that you need to try and then recommend to your friends and family. It’s located in a really cute little shopping village area. Shop some, drink and eat some and then shop some more! The staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable of all the items, very helpful and polite. We absolutely will be back again! Thank you for this little gem of a great place!“

“Flora and Fauna is more than just a coffee shop; it's a gem in the heart of East Nashville. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by a service staff that makes you feel like family. The creativity in their drinks menu is a delightful surprise every visit, offering a perfect blend of classic and innovative choices. And let's talk about the pancakes – they are a must-try! Fluffy, flavorful, and simply irresistible, they're worth indulging in any day of the week. This place is a testament to what makes East Nashville's community so special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch brunch experience!“

“Spacious, quiet, comfortable. That’s immediately what Barista Parlor feels like upon entering. Located in the W hotel, you can enter through an almost-side-door or through the main hotel lobby (just go right once inside). There are several seating areas on a unique, tiered floor plan that adds a lot of privacy to each arrangement. The asymmetrical floor plan also has an integrated wheelchair ramp which makes the entire coffee shop accessible. The menu is fairly simple which facilitates quicker decisions on which drink to pair with the room’s atmosphere. Along the back wall is a gift shop (not associated with the coffee shop) and a private lounge area (accessible with a hotel keycard). Definitely a great spot to come in and hang out for a few hours.“

“This is a beautifully designed space with the largest garage door you've ever seen for nice-weather lounging. It's thoughtfully designed for people who want to come for a coffee with a friend or a work session. They've thought of every detail, and I particularly appreciate (as an architect) that even the mechanicals and the conduit layout is beautiful. The cups have custom artwork, the tables have custom engravings. It's just nice.
Aside from that, there were some downsides. There was only one person working when we went and it was throttling how many people could be served -- it took us about 15 minutes to get through the line and another 10 to get served.
The coffee was great, the food was nothing to write home about but satisfying. We were happy with the food options of various light, hot breakfasts.
Overall: wonderful. I would say if you're looking for working vibes or want a relaxed breakfast with a friend, this is a great choice. Just me aware that it may not be quick, even though the aesthetic makes it seem like it ought to be.“
