If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Spicy chicken without being overwhelmingly HOT! Our family group was welcomed so emphatically my daughter ask me if I had called ahead. Granddaddy himself cooked our meal before coming out of the kitchen to tell us about his hand grown pepper spice mix. This guy cooked us the best chicken and fried okra I've ever tasted! Thank you Grandaddy for an amazing dining experience!

Hands down, the best hidden gem of Nashville hot chicken! We got the pork chop sandwich and tenders, all hot. The great thing about this is that you can taste the flavor of the chicken and spices. It does not burn your mouth to where all you can taste is heat. We also got the creamy potato salad, which was great. Granddaddy spoke with us the entire time and even gave us samples of the Cole slaw and mixed greens. I am not the biggest fan of either, but his were amazing! I loved the greens! Topped the meal off with a chess square and Coca-Cola cake. Y’all, stop in to this place! It is now our favorite hot chicken place! Thank you so much!!

Had to stop by here since I drove by it often, and I gotta say “ITs GOOD” I would definitely stop by there when I’m craving some chicken. The service was awesome. The lady was super sweet, made some incredibly good desserts. Give them a try! They’re a local hot chicken spot, it’s always awesome to try some small gem restaurants!

I absolutely loved their loaded Chicken Sandwich. It was kind of messy but all I needed was a a load of napkins. The Fried Corn on the cob was very sweet with a nice heat. The lady behind the count called me Baby about ten times. I will definitely go back.

Went in and immediately knew it was going to be good. Haven't had chicken like that ever in my life. Moist, tender, flavorful both inside and outside. Cooked to order.

I wasn't sure what to expect but this place really exceeded my expectations. The whole family really liked it. It is the real deal. Okra was great, chicken was great. Only here a few days but getting it again. The people working there are nice people, too.

Fresh cooked hot chicken and it’s fire! All their food is freshly cooked and delicious. The owners are so sweet and very receptive. I have had chicken wings and potato salad with chess squares. I love this place

We were on our way to the Hermitage from Goodlettsville and out of the blue, when looking where to eat, we stopped here, knowing I wanted to try Nashville Hot Chicken. I really didn't have any knowledge of what it was, only that I knew I wanted to try it.
What an experience. Granddaddy and the hostess spent a good 20 minutes with us, telling us what hot chicken is, how it's made, why it's different, and why we had to wait 30 minutes for it.
Quite unbelievable, for this Californian. Never tasted any quarter chicken like this, served hot over white bread and pickles. Order the medium heat and you'll get more than enough heat. I bought his shake and can see that increasing (or lowering) the heat is a function of how much shake is used.
This was among of my best experiences in Tennessee. And it was just on my way, what a gem.
The best chicken sandwich I ever had in my life as I was sitting and eating my chicken sandwich baked beans and bread granddaddy came out he looked like he was 55 years old he was talking with somebody I think if my ear hustle was correct he said he was 74 or going to be 74 but I could be totally off God bless best place ever
