Went in at 7:30 (they close at 9:00) to eat dinner, sat down, ordered drinks and an appetizer, then food and as we sat there at 8:00pm sharp we were greeted by the the staff putting chairs on tables directly next to us and vacuuming around our table, then carrying trash through the dining area downstairs directly beside our table. No regard for customer experience. Liked this place until tonight.
Word to the staff, do your closing work for back out house. Wait until CLOSE to start packing up the restaurant. Its rude and disgusting.

The food we had was very good. Wife's medium steak was more of a medium rare in the second half. Completely missed bring our appetizer. Seemed like part was staffing shortages. Our waitress seemed to have most of the down stairs, and maybe been a little overwhelmed, while there were at least 3 host/hostess hanging around the front. Kitchen looked to be less people than other times in the past. Took almost an hour I would say before our main course made it. Seats in chairs were cracked and splitting. Didn't notice that until we left.

Had the hushpuppies, spinach salad, crab bisque to start. They were all exceptionally good and I am hard to please.
Tried the Club Sandwich, Fried Chicken and Shrimp and Grits with both styles of grits.
The carved meat on the club was awesome.
The gravy on the shrimp was great, I added lemon and it made it exceptionally good.
The fried chicken was scratch made and perfect.

We sat with Justus, came in with a larger party around an hour before close. Usually hate doing that but Justus made the experience awesome. Food and service was the best I’ve had in a long time. JUSTUS NEEDS A
