Davis Wayne’s is our favorite restaurant hands down! The food the, the atmosphere, the drinks, the staff everything is top notch! They treat us like family every time! They know us by name and have our drinks waiting for us! They gave us chocolate covered strawberries and a card for at our anniversary dinner! They always deliver above and beyond!

Unacceptable Owner Behavior
Everything was fine at Davis and Wayne until the check arrived. There was a billing error—an issue that should have been corrected quickly and professionally. Instead, the situation escalated due entirely to the owner’s hostile and unprofessional behavior.
Rather than apologizing and fixing the mistake, the owner became insulting, dismissive, and repeatedly stated that my money “wasn’t needed” because she owns the restaurant. This is especially outrageous considering I spent well over $100 plus tip.
A simple staff mistake turned into a disrespectful confrontation for no reason other than the owner’s attitude. No paying customer should be spoken to or treated that way—ever.
Because of the owner’s blatant disrespect and complete lack of professionalism, I will never return, and I strongly advise others not to spend their money here unless they’re comfortable being belittled over a mistake that wasn’t theirs.

When family get togather... What a time, what a time! Davis Wayne’s never misses. The food, the cocktails, the atmosphere—everything comes together in the best way. The lamb chops were tender and full of flavor, the veggie plate was seasoned perfectly, and that Big Payback cocktail was on point. (x 3) We finished the night with pecan pie, apple pie, and a hot cup of coffee, and they even surprised me with chocolate-dipped strawberries. Every bite was amazing.
The staff made us feel right at home, and the live music added something special to the evening. It’s a Black-owned gem that deserves every bit of love it gets. Every time I come home, this will be one of my first stops. Highly recommend!

The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was packed with flavor and soul — you can taste the care and tradition in every bite. The Parmesan Chicken was crispy perfection, the mac and cheese creamy and rich, and the collard greens seasoned just right. It’s true comfort food elevated to a whole new level.

This evening I experienced Davis Wayne’s for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and the atmosphere. I ordered the lamb chops with my choice of potatoes with onions and mixed greens. The food was perfectly seasoned, no need to add anything extra. The staff was exceptional and the live entertainment was an add bonus. If you get the opportunity to visit this established you WILL NOT be disappointed. I will definitely put this on my list for return visits.
