First time eating at this establishment and everyone in my party enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The one thing that ruined our time there was, we had a reservation for 10:30am and were told that we had to be done by 12pm for the next reservation. That is not how you get return customers. You put a time limit on when you are sitting and eating with family or friends.
3 strikes and we are done! Food is awesome and good deals on drinks for happy hour. Happy hour food not really a deal deviled eggs more expensive than full portion for what u get. Every time we go it feels like 80 degrees inside, water is warm and we always have to repeatedly ask for ice. Servers are the worst of any restaurant we have frequented in ooltewah or around Hamilton place. They move slow, rarely smile and very fake. They seem to have some regulars were the linger at certain tables and no matter how long you stare they just walk past your table. I have to waive them down or go to the bat to ask for help. They say they work in teams but they end up showing up one right after the other then abandon you for 20 minutes. No manager or owner making rounds to check in. The food and price point must be keeping them alive. Major training opportunities here and a few of the slugs should be fired. Sweet water girl should be promoted to server and the teen hostess with the dirty looking jeans and baggy tshirt should b in the back washing dishes. Clean it up or this place will not survive!
Great brunch spot! I'm sure they are good for any meal but I've only tried the brunch
Cute place, nice atmosphere. Coffee drinks are a bit pricey.
Love the breakfast, happy hour and dinner here. Staff were great. Going to take the wife there for Mother’s Day.
Service and menu are incoherent. We'd routinely get 3+ servers over the course of a meal. They'd never know what drinks were available that night, and availability was constantly fluctuating. They would frequently disappear for 10+ minutes when asked to inquire about availability. The old WDO burger on half price burger night was good enough that I could excuse it, but they've moved it off of the half price menu. I now see this restaurant as irredeemable. On our most recent visit after the menu change our first waitress failed to communicate that to us, and I was sorely disappointed with the burger I was brought
Let's start with the atmosphere. This restaurant was simply immaculate. Was created immediately upon entering, and was seated in a cozy but out in the open spot. The server was really helpful and a delight, although I think it was either her first day or she was new. She had help which was fine, because she had it covered. Now let talk about the delectability; if I can create words, that was the food. First off, those BISCUITS were so soft and airy, yet had a subtle crispy crunch on the outside. I could have eaten a bakers dozen I'm sure. The French Toast was so comforting and so were the grits. It was cold outside and those two really hit a spot. The bacon was cooked to perfection, and the omelet coupled with the grits, were, ummm... yeah. Might I say heavenly. Simply amazing. If and when I'm in the area again, I would absolutely love to try other things on the menu. Although it would be hard not to order BISCUITS.
Food was amazing as always, but tonight April 21st we had really bad service. We waited 30 minutes to get our order, which is unlike the service! Plus the waitress didn’t communicate that the OG burger was full price. That would’ve been nice to know! Again, food was amazing, but I was disappointed with the waitress. I’m fine with paying full price in any other circumstance, but not when I came for half price. Needed that info!
I’m not the type to complain, but we have a toddler, and I don’t want to wait 30 minutes to order.
Went in for lunch and I saw my waitress once when I got in. Once for my food and then when I got my check. Wasn't a good experience this time
I’ve been going to Wine Down Bistro since 2020, and it’s become one of my go-to spots. While the service has been a bit hit or miss over the years, the food has always been consistently delicious—which is what keeps me coming back. I’m a firm believer in giving places a fair chance before writing them off, and Wine Down has definitely proven worth sticking with.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the menu offers some fantastic options. I just really wish they’d bring back their chicken tacos—they were my favorite! All in all, it’s a great local spot, and I always look forward to my next visit.

I travel through the area quite often. I was very excited to try this place as we passed it all the time. It was my birthday, so we said, why not? from the moment we walked in, we knew we should have left. The hostess was very rude, And we were reluctantly seated. We waited forever for our server. They finally took our order and we finally got some of our drinks like 10 minutes later, but never got our juice. When The food came out, We asked about our juice, and they told us they were out? The looked good, but we asked for a couple things like ketchup for the fries and some extra syrup, but the server just refused to bring it. We asked a couple more times when we seen somebody, but they never brought it either. I'm not sure how this place has a 4.4 and They're still in business with the service they offer. We'll never be back, but I don't think they care. Left no tip because of the poor service.
Truly enjoy each and every experience at this restaurant! They have so many options for breakfast/brunch and dinner. The staff is always friendly and attentive.
Absolutely love coming here! The food is always good (Monday burger night is an incredible deal!) The servers are amazing and are always so welcoming and kind! I’ve never had a bad meal in the four years I’ve been coming to Neighbor/Wine Down, whether I’m there for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I love the opportunity to try new flavors and expand my tastes (like the deviled eggs with fish eggs) I’m always looking forward to see what new, innovative meal will be up on the board!
Worst service I have ever had. Had made an 11:00 reservation for brunch arrived about 10 minutes early and was seated immediately. Was a good 15 minutes before a server ever even came to our table. Got our drink order and our food order. We sat and waited another 30 minutes never had the server come back to check on us, never got our food. I'm normally a big supporter of local restaurants but I can honestly say I will not go back to this place. I saw the reviews where many people complained about their lack of service but said the food was quite good. I wouldn't know because after being there 55 minutes and still not having food we left. It may have been different if they had been busy but they were not busy. It's a shame because their menu look good but I'm just not going to support a restaurant that has that lousy of service.
Went for dinner, was giving it one more try… disappointed again! My food was tasteless to the point sauce and salt did not help. We had to wait for a grill cheese sandwich for my grand daughter… she was the last to get her food, out of a hamburger, wings and grilled chicken fingers!!!! Our waitress never checked back with us, we had to ask for more water, another glass of wine. We asked for more tea and she forgot to bring it…. Really! We will not be back, but I ask that you do better! You have potential to be great.
