I ordered a pulled pork sandwich tonight, and the pork was cold and rubbery like it had been refrigerated and thrown in the microwave. I heard other customers rave about how good the ribs were, so hopefully I just visited on an off night and they aren’t this bad all the time.

Bennett's was once the premier bar-b-que joint in Gatlinburg. However, the past few years have reflected a decline in both quality of food as well as atmosphere. The Bennett's experience continues to deteriorate. Based on my last dining experience there, they are now passing off spare ribs as baby backs while still increasing their price. The service is not what it once was either. When we complained, the only response from the waiter was "yeah ... we've had some complaints". During our next to last visit, a customer came in with three (3) dogs and literally sat them at the table where they barked and carried on to the disgust and aggravation of everyone around them. This was a ridiculous, unpleasant and unsanitary situation. People do not go out to eat to have to put up with such complacent dirty unprofessionalism in a restaurant. The manager refused to do anything. She simply allowed this happen.

We went here in hopes of some good smoked meat what we got was something that tasted like it had been sitting on a steam table since early that morning, I hoped that they would have smoked turkey or pulled chicken sandwich but all they had was grilled chicken with some barbecue sauce for a chicken sandwich, I requested a kid's menu and was told by the wait staff in a grouchy tone that if the kids are over 10 they cannot order from that menu, that's the first time I have ever been told that about a kid's menu. So me and my son split an order of chicken tenders that were decent but the baked potato was cold and the corn was supposed to be fried but it tasted like it had been boiled instead. I was not impressed at all and I don't plan to ever go back!

Tried this one while on vacation. My wife and I both loved the food. We had the most tender beef brisket I've ever ate. The fresh peach cobbler was fantastic. We will definately back for more.

Everything was great, but a staff member was acting really juvenile. Eating dinner and waitress comes from kitchen and says extremely loud, “Oh my God, that is so disgusting”. How would that make you as a customer feel? Did someone do something to our food? Was a rat in the kitchen, was there molded food? Perhaps, this red headed staff member should realize where she works, or did, before speaking so loudly.

That was the stringest, worst bbq I have ever ate. After many years of eating here, this place is now off our list of go to places. Never, ever again. Don't do it......
Got the BBQ pork shoulder sandwich. Tasted fine at first, but 30 minutes later when we got back to the house I spent the rest of the night hugging the toilet. Not sure if it was undercooked or just been sitting out all day. Won't go back here again

We've been several times and its always good. Most recent was 11/24. Portions are generous for the price and you leave feeling very, very full. The ribs are solid and have a smoky flavor. Collard greens were out of this world. Biscuits were very good. A tremendous experience.
