Mellow Mushroom Reviews
Went in on my birthday looking forward to eating here while on vacation. Got seated with menus, and sat there for 15 minutes while another table that came in 5 minutes after we did got waited on. The place wasn't the busy for a Monday afternoon, so no real reason to be ignored. We finally gave up and left. Went to another pizza place down the street. As a former employee who worked at Mellow Mushroom while in college in Atlanta back in '88, this is just inexcusable.
The meal was great but our server was a jerk. After delivering our pizzas he NEVER came back to check on us. We ran out of drinks and had to flag him down to even give us the ticket. Although we left him a tip he didn’t deserve he got MAD cause it wasn’t an amount he wanted. He told us “have an alright day” then went to front counter and slandered us to his coworker as he stared us down. I don’t know his name but he wore the hoodie on his head the whole time, had a reddish...read full review
My daughter has a severe dairy, egg, and tree nut allergy. She can't eat out at most restaurants due to risk of cross contamination. My husband read that Mellow Mushroom had a vegan menu, so I called to ask what procedures they use for the vegan items to see if her food could safely be prepared separately from allergen items. Mellow Mushroom in Pigeon Forge offers a variety of tasty dishes, with a focus on their pizzas. The service can be slow to start, but improves significantly once contact is made. The restaurant is kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible, with good parking options. The staff, such as Cory and Megan, are highly attentive and enjoy serving people. The food is great, and customers don't have to wait long.
The restaurant also has a vegan menu, and the manager, Drew, goes above and beyond to ensure the safety of customers with dietary restrictions, such as a severe dairy, egg, and tree nut allergy. Drew takes extra precautions to prepare the food separately and explains the safety measures to the customers, providing them with much-needed reassurance and comfort. The vegan pizza options, such as the build-your-own pizza and the veganized holy shiitake, are also highly recommended.
Customers praise the unique twist on pizza, with many ordering a variety of small pizzas to sample different options. The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, with the option to dine outside at the mushroom tables. An ice cream shop is also attached, allowing customers to indulge in dessert after their meal.
