Food was good, but cool in the center, like the ingredients were cooked awhile back .Employees are completely useless at this location. You collect your own food, you collect your own drinks and put up your own stuff. You even gather your own go boxes. There's no purpose in the staff here. They were completely unaffected by having customers. The guy behind the counter with the headphones on could not be bothered by us.
And it was $40 for 2 calzones.

Fantastic food! Service was beyond wonderful, everyone was super-friendly. Restaurant was clean, warm (great place to get out of the cold for a bit). Definitely recommend!

Amazing time, when I mean this was packed it was packed full of people. We have been to 3 locations for mellow mushroom (2 tampa/clearwater,FL & St Augustine). This one was by far the best, we had a larger group of close to 10 people. We walked up (5-10 min wait) ordered and food was out fast. On top of that the food was way better then any of the other locations we have gone too. Sitting having a couple drinks while the kids did the rope course beside was a plus plus.

My initial experience with Mellow Mushroom in my hometown was not satisfactory. However, due to my youngest child's preference for pizza and our presence on the island, I decided to revisit the establishment. I found the pizzas at this particular location to be exceptionally well-prepared, flavorful, and delicious. Furthermore, the individual who processed our order exhibited a remarkably cheerful demeanor, which facilitated a smooth and pleasant ordering process.

Mellow Mushroom on The Island is hands down the best pizza I have ever had. The quality is immediately apparent. High quality ingredients, expertly made artisanal pizzas, and a broad range of styles that are all executed extremely well.
I ordered the Great White pizza customized without onions or tomatoes, and it was phenomenal. The customization was handled perfectly, and the balance of flavors was spot on, proving the kitchen pays real attention to detail rather than treating modifications as an inconvenience.
The staff here are on another level entirely. Service was exceptional across the board, with genuine effort, attention to detail, and a level of care that goes far beyond what you expect anywhere, let alone a busy tourist area. Easily the best staff in Pigeon Forge.
Every part of the experience felt intentional and well run, from ordering to food delivery to overall atmosphere. If you are dining here, ask for Tim and get a shot of Malört.
Between the food and the staff, this place sets the bar extremely high and is an absolute must stop.

We love Mellow Mushroom! We had not eaten at a Mellow Mushroom in 10 plus years! We were happy to find that the quality of the food was still great, and the pizza super tasty. We came to the Pigeon Forge Island location and were worried there would be a long wait with it being the Holidays but found there was less than a 5-minute wait to order our food. Once we ordered our food at the counter, we sat down and our food came out in about 5 minutes which was impressive. The pizza was amazing, and the salad very fresh. The only cons we experienced was that the ranch was not very good, and the pizza did not have much sauce (which was a huge win for our picky eater, but not so much of a win for the rest of us). The food all still tasted good and we found the pizza was better with no ranch than with. Would definitely come back! The pizza received a 10/10 for the cheese pull from our kids!

I was craving pizza so we chose here since we had gotten great pizza & service at the one in Gatlinburg before, definitely a disappointment! The pizza was awful and looked nothing like the photos pictured by others on here. We got the Maui Wowie and the toppings were chunks on a couple of pieces and none on the other pieces then you had to wait on yourself the whole time while employees just stand around talking but definitely have that beloved tip jar! It was the weirdest experience ever! It was like you had to ask for each little detail because there was no customer service! You place your expensive pizza order, go to the bar to get your drinks, you put your dishes in a bus tub and clean your own table! Heck where’s my check at since I was the employee? 🤣 Never again!

On Saturday, 10/28/2025, I placed an online order from Mellow Mushroom Pizza. It was a really busy time, so I ordered online to avoid waiting in line. I received an email saying my order would be ready around 7:24 PM, and I arrived there at about 7:40. I told the blonde employee inside, through the doorway, that I had an online order and gave her my name, but she responded to me in an angry tone and said, “Go ahead!” Later she came over, asked for my name again, and without even checking she said it wasn’t ready. I always buy pizza from Mellow Mushroom and their pizzas are really good, but they definitely have issues with customer satisfaction. I also saw another employee inside handling the dough without gloves, using bare hands. I will not be ordering from them again and I don’t recommend them at all!

We had an awesome experience at the Mellow Mushroom on The Island in Pigeon Forge. The food was fantastic — fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The pizzas were perfectly cooked with that signature crust, and everything tasted top-notch.

The atmosphere is fun and energetic, with a great view of all the action happening around The Island. Service was friendly and quick, even with how busy the area can get. It’s a perfect spot to relax, enjoy good food, and still feel part of the excitement outside.

Whether you’re stopping in for a family meal, hanging out with friends, or grabbing a bite during your visit to The Island, this location is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!
