I was excited to try The Yard for the first time. It didn’t live up to the hype. The customer service is awful. No one ever greeted us. The employees were talking amongst themselves but I did not see them greet even one customer. They didn’t welcome anyone or speak to any of the customers unless taking their order or calling the order number once the order was ready. I over heard one of the employees saying how happy she was they closed in an hour.We waited 40 minutes to get one ice cream sundae and 3 scoops of cookie dough. It was good but nothing to write home about. I could have gotten ice cream somewhere else and it would have tasted just as good and would’ve been served faster. The icing on the cake was the price, almost $34.Checked off my bucket list and I’m good with it. No plans to go back.

We couldn't wait to go get a dessert!! We got there, and as soon as we walked in, an employee yelled we are closed and held her phone up at me and said it's 8:02. My watch said we had 10 minutes until they closed, and there were people in line ordering. I have to say, the customer service is terrible.

Their milkshakes will definitely be bringing us back to the yard!!If you like sweets, you're definitely going to want to stop by this place!! Everything we ordered tasted amazing and you are even offered the mason jar to take home as a souvenir. They have a little station where you can clean your mason jars and bags available for you to take it home in. Our dessert actually ended up being a bit too much for us and we were unable to finish, which definitely isn't a bad thing. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and we will be returning!

Massive milkshakes. Enough to make your pancreas want to fall over from all the sugar.

(TLDR: Don’t waste your money here)I have never been more disappointed by a milkshake in my life. Walking in, I was standing at the counter for 7 and a half minutes straight before anyone even acknowledged I was there. There were at least 6 people working, so even the slightest bit of help would have been wonderful. Once I had to get the attention of someone myself, I was answered in a cold and disrespectful way. Not the slightest ounce of hospitality that you’d expect from a business in Pigeon Forge. With tax, the Dolly Parton milkshake I ordered was nearly 20 dollars. For reference, Toothsome’s Chocolate Emporium in the middle of the tourist trap of Universal Studios in Orlando that serves the exact style of shakes this place has, has milkshakes that cost just 16 dollars with tax. Then, I waited 32 minutes, far surpassing the 20-25 minute expected wait… Only to find that the milkshake I ordered was one of the most disgusting desserts I have tried in my life. It was bland, yet managed to have a bitter taste. Beautiful to look at, yet handed to me already starting to melt and dripping everywhere. It’s a pity that Dolly Parton would have a milkshake this bad named directly after her, saying that the food at her dinner shows and Dollywood are so much better. The only redeeming factor here was the lady, who seemed to be either a team leader or manager. She was incredibly kind and cheery as we were leaving, and helped us ensure we would not make a mess in the car with our shake. Her dedication to customer service is admirable, and is the only reason I left 2 stars rather than 1. Regardless, do not spend your money here.

Absolutely LOVE this place! We travel to Pigeon Forge once a year and this place is ALWAYS a must! The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable, and had no problem answering any questions we had! Overall, the service was superb! This is what we got this time:The Mermaid milkshake: the time and effort that went into creating this made it worth every penny! My daughter loved the “extras” that went along with it and she said it tasted AMAZING!Coke Float: the ice cream in this was delicious. The perfect combination for me!Triple chocolate malt: one word to describe this.. DIVINE!

A fun and delicious dessert for a vacation treat! The service was great and the shakes came out amazing!! I got the unicorn (cotton candy flavored) and it was my favorite out of the 4. I got the shake, but if I ordered it again, I would get the scooped ice cream for a stronger flavor, but the shakes are still delicious! The cheesecake and brownie were really good also!

Great experience the price is a little high but well worth it. The milkshakes/sundaes were great! The place is very cute as well. If you get the pint you get to take home the glass as well!

The hostesses were amazing but we came here for my daughter and we got the brookiebatter and it was essentially a flat flavorless milkshake that left all 3 of us wondering what the heck we spent $19.60+ on. My husband got a small oatmeal cream pie flavor and I got a small Christmas cookie ice cream flavor. They are both okay but ever overpriced for the experience. For the price, this establishment is very disappointing.

The menu is overwhelming, so I suggest looking it over to know what you want. The milkshakes are delicious. The restaurant is clean and great staff.

Service fantastic. This is not your ordinary ice cream place. I love ice cream but what they do at The Yard is they take your normal ice cream and make it a work of art. Come with and empty stomatch and a sweet tooth ?
