We were heading through town very early morning from spending some time in Burnside, Ky for spring break and we needed an emergency restroom stop and noticed the open sign on. The one woman working there was more than friendly and so were the patrons. Was told they had the best biscuits and gravy in the area by one patron, but we didn't have time to partake in the goodness. Thank you so much for the use of your facilities. It made a possible start to the day turn good!!

I was on my way from Knoxville Tn. to Somerset Ky. on march 16th. At about 10:30 in the morning I pass Rock House Diner which looked to me like a nice place to stop and have breakfast. Boy was I wrong. I went inside and all the the tables had folks and there were no empty ones. Some of the tables were large enough to have joined folks that were sitting there. It looked to me like this how they were seating people. I stood there waiting for someone to come and great me and tell me a place to sit. There was 4 women and a man working and serving. While I stood there for a few minutes all 5 of them looked at me and knew I was there but didn't smile or acknowledge me in any way. I though well, maybe they are busy and will get to me at some point. At this point other people came in and one of the servers immediately went to them and asked them if they wanted to sit at a Large table with a woman and child again completely ignoring me. I felt like a complete outsider and thought I better not speak up because everyone knew I was there for several minutes being overlooked on purpose and I figured it wasn't in my best interest to stay. On my way out the door a nice man who had seen what was going on asked me if I would like to sit with him. I was of course not willing to stay under any circumstances. Anyway, this is my experiences with Rock House Diner. Take it as you will but I believe it waas because I was an outsider who wasn't welcome.

It's a good place just a little pricey with the place It's
This place is a destination for us. We drove up one day amd they had a sign that they were closed. I called before we drove 2 hours the next time. It was so very worth it! Home cooked food, awesome prices and an atmosphere that makes you feel like your at your grandmothers house for Sunday dinner. If your anywhere close to this restaurant, take the time to stop in! One day in the near future, all the little local spots will be gone.

We ate there yesterday and i cant sa enough good things about it. Clean, friendly, inexpensive, good food... its out of our way because we live in Fraterville but we have already spoke of going back. Its a great lil diner...
