Decent food, but the portajohn is not very clean. Also, a tip for new customers: if the chain (known colloquially as “the cable”) is up, just duck under it and make your way to the food truck anyway. Owner is really chipper and nice and understanding.EDIT: as you can see from the response, it's just fine to go under the chain (which has now been upgraded to a CABLE! Yeaahhh!!) You can tell it's okay because of the clever turn of phrase "no trust passing" (a play on the word "trespassing," indicating that he TRUSTS you to just PASS on through, UNDER the cable. Feel free to take pictures. He won't freak out on you with some disproportionate rant! Again, the food is terrible and the portajohn is *very gross* (plus, I had to jimmy the lock because I used it after hours), but the guy is NICE.

Excellent barbeque. I LOVED everything about it. Food, service and atmosphere were absolute perfection. Do not change a thing!
Superb pulled pork. I like that the pork is "naked"-- it's not sitting in sauce, where any inadequacies can be covered up. Sauce is served on the side. Meat was quite plentiful, moist, and full of flavor. And it was all meat, with no collagen slime mixed in. The bun was fresh. The sauce was thinner than traditional barbecue sauce, but that's not a criticism. It was more or less a combination of thick bbq sauce mixed with the thinner, vinegar-based finishing sauce.I would recommend this place for the pulled pork without hesitation. It's just him and his food truck, and that's fine with me.

The smoked pulled pork was ? and the chicken breast was juicy. The fries and potato salad were so good. It's a literal shack on a lot with some delicious BBQ. Make the stop!
This guy is hateful. I was in the parking lot taking a picture of the rocket and, out of nowhere, he came peeling up in his truck raising hell. We couldn’t understand a word he said but he was not happy. Then he whipped his truck around, parked it, got out and I legit thought he was coming after me and my son. I was kind of scared. We left quickly.

Amazing food for a really good price. It's definitely a must try. I was surprised happily!
Good food. A little tight to turn around but well worth the walk if you don’t want to drive up there. Yes they sign is high enough to drive under with a 13’6.I will be coming back. I just wish he was open later. We need food at night after everything else has closed. That’s where the money is. There’s no competition.

Pulled pork was excellent! The way BBQ is meant to be.
You can smell the hickory smoke from I-75…Jerry is a friendly face on I-75 with fantastic pulled-pork and melt in your mouth beef brisket. His bbq joint is in an unexpected, but super convenient spot right off of I-75 at the Pioneer exit with plenty of parking for your truck or RV. Located in whats left of an old amusement park, his hickory smoker produces the best barbecue I’ve had in Tennessee (and most other states).Don’t miss out on his homemade potato salad either!Closed on Mondays, I always try to plan my trips around a visit to Smokin’ Butts! This is usually the highlight of my week when on the road.
