Been here a few times....steaks are amazing but outrageous comapred to other resturants IMO...only had 1 bad steak in 5 or 6 so ill take it

I can’t say enough about this place. I am from out of town and asked for a recommendation. Without hesitation, my local contact said Hickory House. This was the best steak I’ve had in recent memory. My waitress was incredibly attentive and helped me decide on a dish. I’m so glad I listened to her because my steak was cooked to absolute perfection. The slaw and baker beans were also fantastic. The employees there were so kind and friendly, and I didn’t feel like an outsider at all. Thank you for the memorable food and wonderful service.

We came into the restaurant at approximately 1:30pm on Sunday, Nov. 9th 2025. We were standing in the front of the line to be seated (2 of us). An employee came up to the couple behind us (2 of them), took down their name and brought them around us to be seated first. It was a totally disrespectful act that did NOT go over well with us! Even the couple that were getting seated first were confused! Therefore, we immediately turned around and left. Never to return again. It was rude behavior that will not be excused nor accepted. If I could have given 0 stars... It would have been my first choice.

Good, varied menu. Good service. Was back again with toddler granddaughter having a meltdown. Servers so kind

sadly my first time going to the hickory house in Pulaski will more likely be my very last. (Friday October 17, 2025) as soon as we walked thru the door I was stared at by a lady in the back behind the counter as if I was wearing a clown costume, very unfriendly, unwelcoming feeling. we were then seated & the lady put the menus & silverware on the table & just walked off. where we sat & looked at the menu for 17 minutes before we were greeted by a waitress who got our drink orders. she returned with the drinks after a few minutes & asked if we needed more time to look at the menu as to which we told her we were ready to order. (I really loved the menu by the way as each item is specially named & information is listed under each item.) we ordered the fried mushrooms as an app & they came just before our food did. they came with a ranch cup, the lid was stuck to the cup & the ranch smelled like spoiled milk & it has began to clabber together. that was tossed to the side, no problem. our food comes out & I got the 10 oz sirloin with fries & a loaded potato, the plate of fries were stacked on top of my steak, being a server preciously for years, that is a definite no go, I would rather half of my food be brought out than to have plates stacked on top of food. my steak was salty so I'm not sure if they're soaked or what they are seasoned with. we may had seen the waitress twice while being there, definitely friendly but the service was most definitely not there. there was a gentleman who came in after us before we got to order our drinks, he was met at his table before he sat down & had his drink ordered along with his food. the business wasn't busy by far, so I'm not sure if this kind of service is an every day thing but as for me I don't believe that I will return..

Love the food and casual atmosphere of this restaurant and they have the best pork chops around! Not to mention, they're huge!

Saturday lunch this place was busy. A local favorite and it has been added to our list for go to for bbq. Many options, all delicious. Staff friendly and responsive. Prices reasonable.

Delicious food, great service, and a fair price. I usually get a burger and spend about 10 dollars. My husband likes the volunteer platter. We have not been disappointed in the many times we have been.
