“My husband (celiac) and I had a late lunch here on Friday. The food was fresh, cooked to perfection, delicious, and most importantly 100% gluten free. I had the blackened red snapper and it was better that many places I've eaten at on the Gulf! My husband had the gumbo and it was stuffed full of shrimp. He was in heaven. We also had some hush puppies, key lime pie and cheesecake, it was all great. We really appreciate having a safe place to eat where we don't have to worry about gluten contamination. We'll be repeat customers for sure!”

“Im correcting an older post that was not so good...BUT, we had a 2nd chance at the Rusty Spur and this time made up for the 1st not so good experience. Quality of food seems much better and waitresses were attentive to our needs. We'll done.”

“I don’t do fancy. Well...sometimes I do. But sitting too close to white linens, folded cloth napkins, and an array of utensils gives me imposter syndrome. I was born with a greasy spoon in my mouth, not a silver one. I need a place off the beaten path. Shack chic with a hint of propane. You know what I’m talking about. I need a place where the southern accents are thicker than the gravy they serve. Where the old men gather, talking about the same local sports and political teams they’ve been a part of for the past hundred years. A place where the walls don’t have pictures of celebrities. Just family photos. Some that read “In Loving Memory.” I found that place. It sits a few beats off the interstate, weathered and loved, really close to the Nirvana RV Park. What you smell isn’t teen spirit. It’s old-school country cooking, served with a friendly smile...and a fried cherry pie. Eggs piled high. A vegetable omelet that never claimed to be healthy. A ribeye? Yes, please. Especially one from that griddle, which you know has been going non-stop since the Nixon administration. If you find yourself somewhere between Nashville and Huntsville on I-65, venture a little off the interstate. Stop by Five Points Market and take it all in. Yep.”

“Loved the food! A wide range of Asian noodles, vegetables, meats and desserts that taste exotic. They had fresh fruit on the buffet and the place was clean. Staff did not speak much English. But wasn't rude at all. Nice place”

“sadly my first time going to the hickory house in Pulaski will more likely be my very last. (Friday October 17, 2025) as soon as we walked thru the door I was stared at by a lady in the back behind the counter as if I was wearing a clown costume, very unfriendly, unwelcoming feeling. we were then seated & the lady put the menus & silverware on the table & just walked off. where we sat & looked at the menu for 17 minutes before we were greeted by a waitress who got our drink orders. she returned with the drinks after a few minutes & asked if we needed more time to look at the menu as to which we told her we were ready to order. (I really loved the menu by the way as each item is specially named & information is listed under each item.) we ordered the fried mushrooms as an app & they came just before our food did. they came with a ranch cup, the lid was stuck to the cup & the ranch smelled like spoiled milk & it has began to clabber together. that was tossed to the side, no problem. our food comes out & I got the 10 oz sirloin with fries & a loaded potato, the plate of fries were stacked on top of my steak, being a server preciously for years, that is a definite no go, I would rather half of my food be brought out than to have plates stacked on top of food. my steak was salty so I'm not sure if they're soaked or what they are seasoned with. we may had seen the waitress twice while being there, definitely friendly but the service was most definitely not there. there was a gentleman who came in after us before we got to order our drinks, he was met at his table before he sat down & had his drink ordered along with his food. the business wasn't busy by far, so I'm not sure if this kind of service is an every day thing but as for me I don't believe that I will return..”

“I dined here for supper on a work trip in Pulaski. The options were great and the Menu explained every item well. There was no question as to what you were ordering. The waitress was very attentive.
I had the Pirate Roll and the Steak and shrimp combo. The steak was good. Not overcooked and rubbery. The rice seemed a bit dry. But a little Boom Boom sauce fixed that. The shrimp was seasoned great. The Pirate Roll was Awesome. Nice crunch and lots of flavor.”

“We often call it the Mexican phone company and their food is pretty good. They're drink selections, not so much. And if they had filtered water available, that would be better yet”
