Passing through on a road trip with the family. Impressed with the quality of the dining, the food, and the service. Price was reasonable and kids happy. Steak sandwich and catfish fiddlers were a hit. Highly recommend this over food chains for local fare.

Stopped at the Motel 6 this evening, and went to Sarge's for some carryout. The food is very very good..Fries were excellent, hamburger was cooked just right..and omg fried green tomatoes!! Being stuck up north for almost a year, I was so excited to see my favorite southern comfort food on the menu. the only thing I had an issue with is the cole slaw, it's very delicious but unfortunately there was barely more than a couple bites in the small container, it wasn't even filled halfway (maybe they thought it was for a child? I'm not sure..) But over-all I would definitely stop here if I came thru town again, without hesitation. Thank you.

We were passing through on the interstate and wanted to try a local restaurant. Sarge's Shack was a great steakhouse. We ordered the grilled chicken dinner and a burger/fries. One of the best burgers we've had, everything tasted fresh, and the service was great. Highly recommend this steak house if you're in the area.

Parking: Plenty of parking for big rig semis and RVs.

Been here a lot, Dad loves the filet mignon. Cooked most of the time like you ask. Winter is a bad time to go. It is always cold,(Shiver). Past 2 times server's were bad order was wrong, food was cold. We spend over $100.00 each time with tip. Steak was good, but not worth it. Past 2 times ? was locked, with a key lock as if it was a storage room. No signs on the door. Just server's smiling as if it was an inside joke. Will not be going back anytime soon. Got a cold loaded baked potato instead of a loaded sweet potato, the butter never melted. Highly not recommended.

Parking: Where we parked at. There a piece of rebar sticking out of the ground my dad almost tripped over it. I told the staff, but never got a return comment

The food is just ok and portions are becoming smaller for the same price. Supposed to be country cooking but you could really get the same foods from IHOP or any chain. I will say that the salad dressing does taste homemade and delicious so at least there's that. The menu needs to be edited bc you are not given all the options stated for a dinner plate. I'm guessing business is bad rn. Upon entry they have signage posted stating long waits bc they are understaffed. I would honestly be ok with maybe a slight increase in price to get a good country meal. It's sad really bc I can see there are fewer and fewer people eating there. I'm hoping it's only bc of the rainy cold weather. But I'm also not going to visit this place again until I hear of any improvements. Oh and don't try having a nice relaxing meal on ur time bc the staff will try their best to rush you in and out like cattle.

Nice little country place to eat. Right near interstate 65. Stop in eat something better than fast food & go back to traveling on 65. That's the best part. You don't go far off 65 to find good food.

Delicious and best cheeseburger ever! Nice, rustic atmosphere. Great service.Update: I drove 30 miles today for another great burger. Server was rude and condescending. Ruined a good experience. Spoke to the manager. She didn't have much to say about it.

Nice quaint eatery. My party had the Catfish dinners and were really satisfied. My grilled chicken was ok. Sweet potato was good and brown rice, too. Recommend...a little pricey. Waitress and all workers were pleasant.
