My wife and I were visiting the area and stopped in for dinner. We'd walked from the hotel next door, so we decided to splurge and get a pitcher of top-shelf margaritas. They weren't as flavorful as we'd hoped, but they were QUITE strong! I loved my Chile Colorado and refried beans - the rice was OK. My wife's shrimp tacos came out cold but the staff quickly replaced them. All in all we were reasonably happy with our experience.
Nice little place. Very clean. The service was outstanding! Everyone was helpful and friendly. Loved the tortillas! The salsa was a bit sweet, not to my taste. I ordered the tacos de carnitas. They did not ask preference of flour or corn tortillas, as I usually prefer corn, but the flour tortillas were good. The carnitas were tender and juicy but I prefer mine to have those crispy bits as well. The tacos were topped with pico de gallo, which was ok.... but I much prefer onions...
The servers are SO NICE here. Food portions are ample and the carne asada tacos hit the spot after a day of work. Same with the draft Dos Equis Amber. Also, they can give you a hot table slasa made with what tastes like dried and rehydrated chiles. It is indeed spicy, albeit a bit bitter. Definitely was the perfect taco topping alongside lime!
