The food here is AMAZING, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend the blackened catfish over grits!

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinners, I had the venison and Mel had the fried catfish. Both were excellent, it was our first time and we will definitely be back. Mel brought some catfish home, I tried it and I must say it is one of the best I’ve eaten. Our waitress was excellent too!!! Thank you!

First visit to The Southern Table. We arrived around 1:30 pm and wasn't very busy.
The Fried Green Tomatoes were just ok. The batter was too salty for me, and the tomatoes could have been more tender. The Crispy Brussels Salad was my entree that had great flavors. The presentation was nice, however, could use some ingredients to really brighten it up. Overall, the salad looked very bland. The side of garlic cheddar grits were fabulous. The second individual had 3 sides; grits, collard greens, and mashed potatoes. All were great. They obliged this individual in preparing a regular grilled cheese as opposed to the grilled pimento cheese. The bread was perfectly grilled; buttery, crispy, and cheesy. The only minuses were having to ask a second time for sweetener for tea, and our table was unstable. The waitress was pleasant and informed us of the specials.

Do NOT get the scallops! 3 out of the 4 were mostly raw…for $40. When I tried telling a waitress, she condescendingly told me that pan-seared scallops are supposed to be a bit raw. I know what a good scallop is supposed to be and those were raw. Also, each came with a dollop of caviar. I LOVE caviar and this caviar was mushy, fishy, and disgusting.

Apologies, Google did not give me an option to reply to your response so I will update here.

I did not ask to see a manager for the following reasons:
1) after the waitress shut me down so quickly, I figured that management might do the same.
2) y’all were all so busy and everyone was trying to keep up, I didn’t want to get in the way.

First time eating here for wife and I. We were seated promptly, table were clean, and atmosphere was amazing! We had outstanding service! We ordered fried green tomatoes, hot rubbed wings, and cheese burger with fries. Everything was flavorful, delicious, and hot! Best tomatoes and wings we’ve had in town! Do not pass us this gem and take the time to browse the hardware store next door!

Had a great experience at The Southern Table. Service and food were good, with a wide variety on the menu. They do have a kids menu with some good options for kids. The blacked catfish had really good flavor and the banana pudding dessert was a good ending for the meal. Overall really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be back.

The collard greens were obviously not cooked by a Southerner. They were almost uncooked and unseasoned. They put vinegar on them , I guess while they are cooking. That should be left up to the patron IF they want vinegar . I had chicken which was so greasy I couldn’t eat any of it. No cornbread or any kind of bread was served. It was my first and LAST time eating there. Go across the street and eat at Roes if you want good food and good prices. I don’t recommend anything!

I chose The Southern Table for my birthday lunch with friends this year and am glad I did. The service was great (our server Halue was very knowledageable about the menu items) and very nice atmosphere. The fried green tomatoes were awesome. The spicy chicken sandwich was very good (if you want to control heat, ask for sauce on the side). One friend got the brussel sprouts salad and said it was good. Other friend really liked the pimento cheeseburger. We shared their bread pudding and it was the best I ever tried. I will definitely go back and recommend it to everyone.

Pork rinds are excellent! They weren't on the lunch menu but I knew of them from a previous dinner. The waitress was most accomodating.
