Long wait - many tables open - staff shortage apparent. Gluten free due to wheat allergy. Wait staff gave me regular hamburger bun instead of g-f. Ate half before we realized. Told her they need to be very careful about food allergies. Interesting place but freezing cold in the restaurant.

Amazing place to have an event/party! I had a surprise birthday party for my mom at Cooper’s and it was fantastic!! The food and the cake were soooo good and the staff, Cooper, Evelyn, Em, and Tammy, were the best! They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Everyone at the party kept saying how great everything was. Thank you all for making my mom’s birthday so special!!!

This place is now called Cooper’s and has a full menu breakfast and lunch and dinner. Some live music on Friday and Saturdays

Loved our lunch here! Beautiful, charming, historic property. Cooper provided extremely friendly service. Some of the best meat & 3, huge portions. As much as we want to keep it a secret, go here! It’s worth the drive for sure.

Great piece of Americana and very good food! I had the Miller's Breakfast and dad had the catfish with fried okra and mashed potatoes. The restoration of all the old mill buildings is amazing. And Amy was a very attentive and friendly server.

My husband and I went on a Saturday morning for breakfast and were fairly disappointed. He had country fried steak and gravy with a side of biscuits and gravy (2 small biscuits and a bit of cold gravy). I had the Miller's breakfast with hard scrambled eggs, sausage patties, grits, biscuits and gravy. The eggs were under cooked and not hard scrambled, the grits were extremely salty, the sausage... wasn't sausage-like at all. More like sweet meatloaf? The biscuits were smallish and not remotely fluffy, the gravy was sparse, and to top it all off, absolutely everything was lukewarm at best except for the steak, which must have come directly from the oil.We drank coffee and water. Just for fun, apparently you get to play expiration date roulette on the creamer. I looked too late and used creamer that expired in June 22 during our late July 22 visit. The bill before tip was $43.If you're looking for a restaurant anywhere near the previous owners, you will be quite disappointed. We won't be back.

If in the area of Woodbury and Readyville, I would suggest driving to Parsleys rather than eating here. My expectations were not high or unreasonable, I just wanted good food at a fair price. This is not what we received.I will not compare Coopers to the previous restaurant at The Mill, and if you're looking for that kind of taste, quality, or service....you will receive none of that here. Small portions, servers who do not listen to orders, and extremely high prices for what you'd be eating. My wife had the special breakfast, 3 eggs, choice of breakfast meat and choice of potatoes or grits. I ordered the country steak and gravy that also came with eggs and i also ordered a side (a la carte) of sausage and gravy. After some time passed, not sure how long, no reason to be in a hurry for breakfast, our food was delivered. Cold. The sausage My wife ordered, prepared in House and apparently a speciality for this restaurant can only be described as sweetened by maybe honey, way too much by the way, and a mix of pork and beef? Either way it was not edible for either one of us. My fried steak breading must have been from a box or it possible WAS the box. In a word, awful. If you do somehow want to darken the doorstep of this establishment and see for yourself, I suggest not getting the table an order of biscuits and gravy. 4 biscuits that are smaller than a can biscuit and a small gravy for nearly $9.I have thought about this review for a couple of days wanting to think about our experience and how to review it. I believe we can all have an off day. But after my wife contacted the owner and the response was far from understanding with a level of arrogance and contempt for constructive criticism that can only be summed up as rude and condescending, I have decided to share my opinion as well and warn people of a waste of time and money Cooper's at The Mill is going to be for them.

Every thing we ordered was cooked to perfection. The fried foods were crisp and not greasy, the beans weren’t overcooked and the buttermilk pie was like I had baked it myself. We couldn’t believe we didn’t have to wait for our table. Excellent service, and a clean, uncluttered decor, and lots to choose from on the menu. I was never a fan of the former restaurant at this location, so I’ve been hesitant to stop in. Give them a try! It’s a much needed restaurant in the area.

If you visit Cooper's at The Mill hoping for the same experience you got from Goodness Gracious, you will be disappointed. Menu has completely changed and you cannot get TOAST with your BREAKFASTUPDATE: I should have been more detailed in my review. The food served was good and service was great. The toast must have been a misunderstanding with server. Thanks for your response. My apologies!

Visited Cooper's at the Mill with family today during their “soft opening” weekend. We were seated promptly and our servers Kelsey and Amy took great care of us. For a soft opening they seem to have managed it well by not overwhelming the staff with huge crowds allowing them to take their time with each table. There were three children dining with us and kids 6 and under eat free…nice option in times of higher costs. We all tried something different and taste tested the various dishes. As for the pancakes…light, fluffy, and so delicious. The Caramel apple “JACKS” and “Churro” Funnel Cake were excellent and everyone loved the flavors and of course sweetness of the dishes. Just sayin’ apple butter on a pancake is YUM! The “Churro” Funnel Cake would make an awesome table dessert too! Both of the egg dishes were cooked to order and both were good but we recommend the sausage patty over the smoked sausage. The sausage patty had all the flavor of a country breakfast, the smoked sausage tasted like kielbasa. While I understand they are training staff and the kitchen, things seem to be going well and we didn’t experience any problems. I did get a chance to talk with the manager along with the owner Cooper about our experience there and what the future holds. It also doesn’t hurt that you have such a beautiful and rustic location to enjoy and explore while waiting for a table. One thing that may be a negative for some…no Wi-Fi service available here. Here’s some information they shared with me:They are working on their beer & wine license…still TBD.Possibly offering live music in the back field of the property.Live music on Friday evenings with dinner. After this weekend reservations will not be necessary unless you have a party of 8 or more.

We had a baby shower at this wonderful venue today. It was a perfect setting, the food was delicious with large portions, and the staff was very helpful. Thank you Cooper’s at the Mill for helping us with this special event. We will be back!
