It's been awhile since I've been there but the large pork platter was chopped up into pieces and had no flavor until you put sauce on it and smelled odd. The beans were good but It wasnt the best ive had and kinda felt like I got what was leftover..

The bbq I had actually tasted a little old and just not right. Which is a little scary being that it’s pork. I didn’t get sick though and this happened at lunch time on December 2, 2023. I’m sure maybe on another day this might not be the case. I appreciate as should, that they are one of the few options for a sit down meal in roan. But everything else was good. Nice folks.Vegetarian options: Some veggies like fries.

Food is okay. They use liquid smoke on their bbq, it is not that good, it is okay for roan mountain people who don’t know good barbecue.My sister had their food at a wedding and she got sick from it.

If you go here you have to try the pig wings. Never tried them before. But if I'm ever up that way again I will go get me some.

There is no reason to give less than 5 stars. It's not the flashiest restaurant I've ever been to, but it was nice, clean, and the people were friendly. The barbecue and slaw were good. The place was about half full, so everyone else around must like it. We just stopped because we were in the area on a trip.

I wish I took photos, the food was phenomenal. We drove 3 hours to order food from your establishment. You will definitely be seeing us again, for anyone that disagrees you need to have your pallet inspected. We order the loaded fries with pork and an entree with Mac and cheese, baked beans, pulled chicken and rolls. Chick was a little dry 8/10 on flavor profile. Pork was on point 10/10 and dont get me started on the fries, just exceptional. Husband is Haitian and he wrote the review.
