Puerto Nuevo Mexican & Seafood Restaurant

My wife and I stopped here on our little stay in Roan Mountain, TN. We’ve been all over the entire world, and have tried several places like this. With my right hand on the Bible, these are the best tacos I have ever had in my entire life. Would recommend 100x to anyone!

We stopped off the road during a long drive to grab some grub and my goodness did this place deliver. Extinguished our hunger with plenty leftover to take home. Good service and great food, absolutely worth the stop!

Story time: I took my fiancé to Puerto Nuevo the day before our wedding day. We had just finished setting up the scenery and went to get food-she loves Mexican food. She ordered a salad, which was chill, but I on the other hand got a Combo 25- Cheesy Gordita Supreme Secret. The food was mid, but I still slammed that how. A few hours go by we just chilling, but then it hits me. Like a semi truck to the brain I was shooting more stuff out my mouth than a full auto machine gun. Petrified, my fiancé watched knowing we were supposed to get married tomorrow. I threw up 7 times and took 4 dumps. The wedding had to be postponed due to the intensity of my atomic jeg floating around in there. Overall, I would slam it again bc I’m big as hell, but I don’t recommend.

WHATEVER YOU DO DONT GET THE COMBO 24. my boy cooked he on 2 hp rn 😭🙏 took off 5 years of his life, doctors said we cant do nun about it

Finding a little gem on Roan Mtn for authentic Mexican food it was a pleasant surprise. We will be back for more.

If you're going for food and no drinks, go for it. If you want a good margarita, go somewhere else. The food and margaritas at the Pineola location are awesome! Awful margaritas at the Banner Elk/Sugar location. A lot to pay for 95 percent ice, resulting in very little drink and almost no alcohol.
