This place has gone down hill since changing owners. The new owner, JD, will hit on women, and then not allow them to come hang out because his wife will find out. There’s been 4 women not allowed to go there now who were regulars since before the new owners. They are over priced, and desperate for revenue, yet treat their loyals as a barricade for his unloyalty. Crazy and Bill were cool before the new owners, but now are desperate for their job so they bend the knee. If you’re coming off the trail, go to Mountain Harbor, they have amazing breakfast, rooms, and evening food, and won’t cancel you for being youself. Mountain Momma signing out 🫶

Best food, environment, and beer selection in Appalachia!!!!!! I cannot recommend stopping here enough, whether you're a hiker or just driving through, this place is a MUST-GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stopped by for a beer and a Reuben Sandwich. Good quality. Nice atmosphere. We'll be back

Horrid place. Doesn’t pay electric bill until shut off visit. Former police chief advised me of drug activity at closed restaurant parking area in front of hostel.Advised to be careful.

JD and the staff at The Appalachian Station at 19E were great. JD went out of his way to help me out at the end of my AT journey, and for that I am eternally thankful. Fabulous beer selection and very knowledgeable bar tender. Anything I requested, he could give me a perfect solution. And the Rueben sandwich is on point!

We had a dinner reservation nearby with an hour to kill and stopped in for a drink on a whim. What we found was a cozy local place with a lot of character, a nice selection of beer and cider and friendly folks. There was even a large back room for live music later on. Also on site is a hostel that’s perfect for hikers on the AT that want a break from the trail. Check them out if you’re in the area. We’re glad we did!!

Thank you for your hospitality at the end of our recent hike...such sweet and welcoming owners with a great food and drink selection. We will see you next time :)

Quite little hostel with big selection of alcohol and outdoor wildlife... Pretty good food also !!

This place is Wonderful! Great choice of beer, fantastic Rueben sandwich, and all of the staff are all so friendly, so welcoming, just all around Great folks. We like stopping by on Saturday when the locals gather for a good ‘ol bluegrass jam🎻🎶🌄❤️
