We like the delicious BBQ sandwich on Wednesday evenings and return often for the catfish plate on Friday! Every menu choice we have had is yummy in the tummy. It's the best restaurant in town, casual, friendly staff, and you may see your neighbors & friends there, too!

I tried from 7:30 pm until after 8pm to call this place to order food to pickup and they must have not wanted my business because their phone was busy for over 30 minutes. Went to order a to go order at 7pm website clearly states they close at 9. I went inside and got a menu from the server and told her my wife and I were going to look at the menu in our car and then place a to go order and I was told that was fine. After about 5 minutes of looking the menu over the lights turned off outside the restaurant, then when I went to go place our order I discovered they had also locked the doors. I tried knocking and no answer so I left the menu outside the door and called to let them know I would not be back and all I was told was oh sorry. Very unprofessional and they will not be receiving any of my family's business in the future.

Everything you'd ever ask for in a small town diner. Can't beat the chicken pot pie, or for that matter the various desserts. The cornbread was a tiny bit dry this time, and the regular biscuits are a little small, but otherwise you're going to get over full and have to take lots home.

My wife and I decided to try Southside again since new owners took over. Boy are we glad we did. I had a bacon double cheeseburger with fries and my wife had a cheeseburger with fries. We also had a side of delicious broccoli and cheese bites. The food is delicious and well made! The service was excellent and prompt! I highly recommend trying this place for a delicious home style meal. We will definitely be going back again! Even the new owners are involved with your experience there as Danny was going around to the tables and asking customers if everything was good. That’s not something you see anymore. It shows that the new owners really care! Keep up the great work Southside Restaurant!!
Southside restaurant owner Dan and my mom . The food was delicious and Brylee our server was very sweet after a very long day serving over 400 free meals to veterans and a guest. I didn't catch the owners wife's name that delivered our food it was so nice to see how much they interacted with their guests. Her birthday is tomorrow like my Mom's ?❤️The owner Dan came over to our table to thank my mom for her service and gave my dad who was not feeling good and didn't come w us today a meal to go! These owners are very dedicated and hard working people who care. If you're looking for a good hometown restaurant w lots of hospitality and good food this is the place!! My wife and I went here for breakfast a couple days ago and I just cannot stop thinking about our experience there. South side has really set our expectations high for any other restaurant that we go to. The service, food, atmosphere, cleanliness… all was 10/10. This is the first time I have ate at this restaurant.Worst tasting food everWe had the Flounder comboGravy and biscuits ( my grandsons favorite food)It's bad when he ate one bite and took another bite and spit it outOur coleslaw was HOT ?I mean like stove top hot.WHO eats hot coleslaw???We also had the sampler combo of corn nuggets, fried pickles, and onion petals.I would ? ever recommend this restaurant to anyone.Absolutely when French fries taste freezer burned it's badYou should know French fries don't taste like that.Please fix thingsIt's ? wonder why restaurants close ( can't someone have good food)?I mean the truth is I was very disappointed and after paying that price too.
