Absolute killer food. Slow service, loud atmosphere, small 20 by 40 foot space out of the weather, picnic tables are outside, and the cooking takes time, started from scratch.

We love the experience, the food and seeing Papa while we're there!
Papa's is an amazing experience on every level. It is my personal favorite, over and above every restaurant I've had the pleasure of enjoying in Nashville over the years. No other place has the heart, soul, and cajun kick of Papa Boudreaux's.
That’s the place to go. And I love seeing papa. I hope next time he can sit down with us and tell us stories or ask us questions and listen to our thoughts. Thanks for whoever gets to read this. Thanks for our Hostess KIARA. We love this.

The food and service is always too notch. Call and make a reservation and you won't be disappointed. Cash only and BYO Beer and Wine (no liquor by law). It's one of those amazing hole in the wall places that will knock your socks off. Oh, and add the redfish to your meal ...just do it!

This is the best place to take friends who aren't from around here. The owner has a heart of gold. The food is bountiful and glorious. If you don't enjoy this place and have fun then you are dead inside.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome.
My wife and I dined at Papa's for the first time this past weekend. The place is almost the epitome of a hole in the wall restaurant and off the main drag. There were 6 total tables, all set up for that night's reservations. Service was friendly but would have hoped for a more personal experience given we were the only table there for the first 30 minutes. They were incredibly stingy with the bread. Two tiny pieces and no offer or ask if we wanted more. The star of the show here is the food. Wow, we absolutely loved everything we ate, and cannot wait to go back and try new things. The portions are large, and for how dang good the food is, makes the prices feel 100% worth it. Take cash and call-in advance to get your name on the list. Killer place that I imagine the tourists and transplants wont flock to as its way outta the way, but for those of us who know our way around and don't mind a country drive, this place is hard to beat.

The fried oysters were spot on, and the freshly made beignets were amazing. The crawfish and shrimp were pretty fresh surprisingly and etoufee was good but on the bland side and needed to add creole spice. Service was good, Atmosphere was homey and comfortable and fun--Thanks guys, looking forward to coming back. Fyi: reservations are recommended and cash is the only form of payment.

This place was fantastic! I’d highly suggest calling in reservations if you want to eat here. We did not know that but got lucky enough they had an open table and got us worked in. The food is delicious and portions are huge. Definitely come hungry if you’re thinking on eating here. We could not even finish everything. The garlic chicken pasta may have been one of the best I’ve ever eaten. And the étouffée was perfect. Service was phenomenal!

Papa's was as wonderful as everyone described.First off, having the long trip out of the city was actually a really nice part of our experience. It was our anniversary, so having a long drive together was very nice, and the countryside out there is Georgios. so don't take the interstates and freeways, and enjoy the view. The Shrimp D'Salvo are incredible. we eat the entire plate in 10min once it hit our table! The shrimp and crawfish etouffee was so comforting and savory. almost as good as thanksgiving dinner. If you are looking for authentic New Orleans cuisine, you won't find anything better than this within 3 hours of Nashville.110% worth the drive, just remember it's cash only and BYOB before you head out there!Kid-friendliness: Plenty kid friendly with lots of outdoor spaceParking: Small parking lot, but more than enough for the amount of seats in the place.
Reservation a must.
