DO Scratch Made Pizza & Pasta – Review

We were excited to try this place because they make homemade pasta daily and woodfired pizzas. Everything looked fresh and amazing. I came with my wife and our three-year-old son — we're all big fans of pasta, especially when it's made fresh.

We ordered:

Focaccia bread

Kid’s pepperoni pizza ($10)

Linguini with shrimp (my wife’s choice)

Pappardelle Ragu (recommended by our waiter and my choice)

The restaurant itself was clean, stylish, and leaned more toward upscale dining. One thing we noticed right away: the wait staff was very well-dressed and professional. However, the massive pizza oven made the whole place uncomfortably hot. The A/C couldn’t keep up, and by the time we left, I was sweating — and I’m not usually someone who sweats easily. I can’t imagine how the staff felt working in that heat.

Despite the uncomfortable temperature, the food was absolutely top-tier. My dish (the Pappardelle Ragu) might be the best thing I’ve eaten since arriving in Tennessee. My wife also loved her shrimp linguini.

Final thoughts: The heat makes it hard to fully enjoy the experience, but the food is so good that I’d honestly consider coming back anyway — just dressed lighter next time. Service was excellent too.

My wife and I recently visited DO Scratch Pizza and Pasta for a date night, and we had a wonderful experience overall. The ambience was fantastic—relaxed, welcoming, and just the right vibe for a night out. We really enjoyed the spacious layout, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening without feeling crowded.

Parking was simple enough, especially since we were familiar with the area. Once inside, we did notice that the service was a little slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time. That said, the staff was friendly, and once the food arrived, it more than made up for the wait. Everything we ordered was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.

We’re already looking forward to going back again soon. It’s a great spot to enjoy a laid-back meal with amazing food and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I went here for an early dinner and had the meatball appetizer and the beet salad. Both were delicious but the salad left a bit to be desired. The serving was smaller than I thought it would be for the price.
I have since been back and split the veggie pizza with a friend. It too was delicious.
I like this restaurant and would love to see more menu options. It would be nice to have more in the portion size as well.

Holy cow, out of all of the touristy places in the area, DO Scratch is fantastic! The atmosphere was very peaceful and welcoming. The menu is widely varied and hearty. The service is spectacular.

Visiting from out of town and had this on my list to try - VERY solid pizza, and an extremely well designed space with plenty of seating and a nice bar. Went for weekday lunch and it was pretty empty, so we were immediately seated. They have good beer and wine options, and a great cocktail list worth a happy hour trip alone! Got the margarita and the four cheese red pizza with pepperoni, both very tasty. If I could be picky, I’d say the marg was a bit skimpy on the basil, otherwise both were perfectly done. The crust and sauce are phenomenal! Service was fantastic, as well, highly recommend this cool spot.

Came on a whim while in the area! We got the pasta and stuffed mushrooms! 10 out of 10 the lemon dessert and the tiramisu was just perfect as well. Best part was the three men behind the counter working so hard and in sync with each other. The gentleman making pizzas took it very seriously and made sure every pizza was perfect. We will be back

Very nice decor and the fired pizza was very good too. The only reason for four stars instead of five- they don’t have a side salad available, only dinner size salads. For one person to eat both pizza and a dinner salad would be too much food, and we were already sharing a pizza because of the size of meal.
