This was a delightful dinner experience during our trip to the Smokies. I had the duck and my husband had the rainbow trout - both were delicious. As a northerner, I'm not particularly familiar with grits but they were surprisingly good. My drink - Mountain Laurel- was beautiful and had a perfect balance of spring flavors. I just had the most amazing dinner at this restaurant! The Hanger steak was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The Potato Dumplings were a bit filling but delicious. The Swiss Chard, Hen of the Woods Mushrooms, and savory gravy complemented the steak beautifully. The house cornbread was also very good (and gluten free!) He made sure we had everything needed, but wasn't overbearing by stopping at the table every couple minutes. Only negative is their reservation system.
