Our experience at Judith was nothing short of spectacular! Our server Olivia was professional and very knowledgeable. She was attentive and made sure that our date night went perfectly. The Oyster appetizer was one of the best we have had outside of New Orleans. We shared a perfectly cooked steak, and the best chicken dish (Milanese) I have ever ordered at a restaurant. I would absolutely recommend this gem of a restaurant to anyone visiting Sewanee. The food at Judith is very much representative of high-end fine dining, but the vibes are warm, cozy, welcoming. We will be back soon and often!

Every visit is like 'coming home,' but to cuisine far beyond what we -- or anyone else we know -- could ever prepare. To say we love everything about Judith falls short of reality.

Unbelievable to have this amazing restaurant in Sewanne! The chicken is not of the best dishes I have ever had ❤️

A great addition to the Sewanee dining scene. Our 3rd or fourth visit. I wished the entree menu items would get rotated a bit. I always tend to lean towards the trout, which has always been superb. But, this night with visiting friends I did not want trout. As it ended up, I was not ‘excited', by any of the other entree offerings, either. So, I we t for smalls and stuck with items on the apps list. I started with a half-dozen oysters from Alabama. They were superb. I particularly enjoyed the clear herbed dip placed in the center. They were artfully presented on a bed of crushed ice. My next course was a beet salad. Thinly sliced beets with shallots and leeks and a lignon berry type topping on a bed of sour cream. My criticism here is back off on the salt. More than necessary. I finished with the sourdough crostini with chicken live pate'. SUPERB all the way around! I left stuffed. My wine pairings, all by the glass were reasonably priced and fresh (as opposed to flat) An Australian Sauvignon Blanc, followed by a French Chardonnay, finishing with an Italian Merlot. My only suggestion, here, would be that it would have been nice if the wine ‘delivery' would have been synched with the arrival of my food courses.

We loved it, can't wait to go back next time we visit . Everything was great. Our only gripe is that we were seated in the bar area at a table for 2. The tables were so close we didn't feel we had any privacy. Maybe it's better spacing in the ba k dining area. There were other tables in the bar area that were empty when we arrive and when we left. Maybe try spacing people out more.

Girl's gathering - food was creative, eclectic and delicious. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere is modern and warm. Loved everything about it! Will definitely be back!

We loved our first visit here, but this time it was not as good. Service and food were just ok. Long wait for food. Appetizers were very good.

Beef tartare appetizer was a big winner for the dishes we had here. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and sweet potato accompaniment was excellent. Wife had trout which was just as delightful, though somewhat heavy on the oil. The old fashioned cocktail was very balanced. For fine dining, this spot is certainly reliable on flavor, though the service was a little slow and flat in character than this price point necessitates.

Had to send back a terrible wine-by-the-glass. Food was excellent as always but hope they will up their wine list to match.

We love the atmosphere, the wine/bar selections and always the home made bread. The fried chicken was some of the best ever. I enjoyed the trout but it was swimming in a plate of butter and did not look appetizing. Overall we love this place but wish the menu would change a little.

Bartender helped create drinks while we waited (arrived early for our reservation). Food was so good. Really enjoyed the leek tartine, the steak (who knew radicchio could be so good!), apple dessert. It was all fantastic.
