Food was awful!! Old and greasy. Sides had been out for awhile. Never had mac n cheese so terrible. My 8yr old granddaughter makes better. No service to the table. My daughter threw up all her food. 54$ wasted. Plus 1hr drive . Was gonna ask for refund but ill take it as a loss and not go back . Could be a great place with right food up keep.

Good just doesn't live up to the hype. Sides are pretty good but nothing out of the ordinary. Kind of disorganized. You get your sides then have to wait a while to get your fish because they cook it fresh to order. Bananna pudding was a big dissapointment. I think it was made with jello pudding. Wasn't worth $28 for buffet and tea to me. I think they are nice people trying hard to make it work. I wouldn't go back though.

Visited for lunch and had a mixed experience. The catfish was decent, but the fries were served cold. The hush puppies were tasty, although they seemed store-bought. I also tried the peach cobbler, the peaches were still firm and didn't seem fully cooked.

The biggest challenge was the ordering process, which felt confusing and unorganized at times. The restaurant is very small, and a large party arrived while we were there, which seemed to create additional challenges. Overall, the food had some bright spots, but the experience was average at best.

As I have said before don't go by the looks. This is a bonafide Mississippi catfish joint. I have eaten at a lot of places like this in Louisiana. BEST CATFISH. Sides to die for. Pork chops did I mention they are breaded and fried MMM. Chef Floyd knows what he's doing. Will definitely go back!

We were in Shelbyville, TN to attend the Black Rodeo. We just arrived in town and got checked into our hotel. We were ready to have some good comfort food. We went to this four star barbecue place, and we all had to have our food meal refunded. I did a Google search. Morning Glory Catfish & Fixins was the first to appear in the search. Based on their website and menu, we decided to give it a try. LET ME TELL YOU! It was the best decision we made. The food was absolutely delicious and very affordable. Chef Floyd took our orders, and offered a sample of his dishes. The food was seasoned just right. They were not stingy with the portions. It was five of us. Our orders consisted of the following: Catfish (of course), frog legs (first time), hush puppies, meatloaf, greens, jambalaya, potatoes salad, mac & cheese, and yams. Everyone said there food was delicious, including myself. We all had to obtain a to go container. Please if you ever go to Shelbyville, TN and are looking for good soul food, don't hesitate, go straight to Morning Glory Catfish & Fixins. Next year we'll be there. Thank you so much Chef Floyd for the hospitality, as well as your entire staff!

I had the all you can eat catfish with greens and sweet potatoes. The greens were delicious. I was gonna give my compliments to the chef and ask for some to go but after it took 10 mins to get my catfish and I had to ask about it, I didn't care for the way the older man gave it to me. My husband's meatloaf was burned so I asked for another piece for him, it was given to me with no problem. The fish was hot and fresh, crispy, but unseasoned.

It's 5 dollars more to add ALL YOU CAN EAT catfish to your all you can eat line-up. It's worth it. They pick the choicest catfish for you unlike at the supermarket.
