I had the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had had a fast food restaurant yesterday on Saturday the 9th of May! I saw a reward on my app for a free apple pie and a deal on chicken sandwiches. My boyfriend and I went and encountered the most kind and genuine woman ever! When we got to the speaker he asked if he could add something and she ended up making us laugh by saying “I’m sure you can!” We both laughed with her and then she proceeded to say that she would comp our extra fry that we added to our order. She then told my boyfriend to wish me a happy Mother’s Day. I’m currently pregnant with our first child and it was so thoughtful and sweet of her to think of me like that! She had no idea who I was prior to ordering and did it out of the kindness of her heart. When we got to the window we laughed and joked with her and told her the gender and how far along I am. She was such a wonderful lady! I’ve never left a fast food establishment wanting to cry tears of joy! To that lady, I want to say the biggest thank you and that you made my first Mother’s Day unforgettable. May you have a wonderful and blessed life!! We will definitely be back! She was working the window around 7:50PM yesterday and was so incredibly kind and thoughtful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🥹

I ain’t never had Bad Popeyes until today and when I tell you, Bad Bad tasted like just a bunch of oil and grease didn’t have that Popeyes flavor no crunch. The skin was Chewy chicken was drier than ever just dry and greasy. I can’t even believe they sold me that they should be ashamed of themselves. I go there once a week and never had this problem, but I probably won’t ever go back after eating this today and my biscuits were hard and crunchy. I could’ve hit somebody in the head and knocked them out with a biscuit.

Ordered boneless chicken wings, receipt says boneless wings but, after waiting about 20 minutes, guess what.... they put the bones in away.
How thoughtful!! I did get a refund but I left hungry

I stopped eating popeyes for a long timmmmeee, because the Popeyes in Mboro, TN that I ordered from, the chicken was too salty and kind of slimey. A couple of months ago, I wanted some spicy chicken and the place I normally go is in Anitoch, and i dnt live as close anymore. I am in Shelbyville,TN now so i decided to give popeyes another try, and to my surprise, the chicken was really good. The chicken was hot, spicey and not slimey, just how I like it. Besides the kind of rude attitude from one of the staff members (which i later spoke with her in person and got a better understanding of why she was rude), the Popeyes in Shelbyville, TN is the best one I have been to so far.

The store manager was too busy to hear my complaint and hung up on me. She said that the reason that my orders were messed up so many times was due to DoorDash. I know that DoorDash does not prepare the food and I received a sealed bag with the wrong items. When I asked for her superior she replied with “I’m all you got” I work in customer service and I would never speak to anyone the way this manager spoke to me. I asked for the district managers phone number and she replied with “they will respond to you the same way I did.” I would like to speak to the district manager of this location. I do not normally complain or leave reviews but after so many times of bad experiences, something needs to be done.

Order is always wrong, chicken is burnt evey time, missing items on the last three orders, and no one will answer the phone, or acknowledge complaints... STAY AWAY FROM SHELBYVILLE POPEYE'S CHICKEN!!

The look from these reviews is that you need all new employees. Almost all comments are negative and about the customer service, not the food. Fix it.
Update 3/12/26... went back again at around 9:40pm for the shrimp tackle box and the employee said it was $9 and something. I know for a fact the price is $5.99 without drink because I was just there 2 days before. She literally argued with me about it and we left with nothing. Just ridiculous. You need to have an employee meeting. The price is listed on the menu. Idk what kind of drugs your employees smoke, but something is wrong with them.
Update 3/10/26.... Ordered 3 shrimp tackle boxes. He asked what drinks. We said we don't need drinks. He said they come with it. Then we see that it was $6 more and we didn't need the drinks so we took them off. Got to window and girl tried to hand us the 3 drinks. We said we didn't get the drinks. She proceeded to pour the soda down the drain and pour the tea back into the container right in front of us. Disgusting and extremely rude! Honestly I couldn't believe it. So your great review is now 2 stars. Only because the food is decent.
One of the better Popeyes I've been to. They are usually very nice. Food is always good. Macaroni and cheese isn't consistent here though. They don't always have everything on the menu, but overall they're doing a good job.

One of my three very small strips was not done. Very cold temperature in the restaurant. Not very organized. Mostly food still tasty but not worth what we paid.
No paper towels in the ladies room.
