“I thought the food was fresh and very good. As far as charging different for paying with cash vs credit card. Most restaurants do this. Maybe not your local diner, but it's been that way the past couple of years. It's not some trick, js. I will definitely go back. It's a nice change for Smithville besides diners, buffets and fast food.“

“Road trip heading to Nashville Tennessee searched for a restaurant with good ratings and was not disappointed! Local spot with home cooked food. I had an omelette with homemade biscuits and gravy excellent! You’re lucky if you can come here often but if we take another road trip we will definitely stop again!??“

“Marisha Webb has taken over Hiillcrest Restaurant from her dad and has created Flour Child Bakery. The menu has fresh milled grains and pastries. My husband and I each tried a Kolache for the first time, which is homemade soft bread wrapped around meat & cheese. Wonderful! !! She also has other homemade foods such as lasagna & soups. Then, we splurged and ordered homemade Cherry Cobbler and homemade Vanilla Ice Cream!!! Delicious isn’t even a word that does it justice!!!! Finding homemade foods has truly gone out of style, so it’s so nice to find someone dedicated to how things USE to be! “

“We had lots of questions about the area and the waitress took her time to tell us all about the area. The food was fantastic and made to order as well. I'll be in a food coma for a while.Kid-friendliness: My kids really loved our waitress and she was very good at interacting with them. They felt comfortable enough to order their own food like big kids.“
