I am always amazed at the food. It is fresh and delicious. Shrimp salad came load with shrimp. Wonderful pairing with fresh peppers, onions, cucumber, lettuce, and avocado. I can't wait to go back.

I have been eating here for over 17 years. Not once have I ever had a bad meal here. The staff is always fast and polite. The food is top notch and authentic. And the place feels very much like a hometown Mexican restaurant. I have lived all over Texas and despite all the authentic Mexican restaurants and food trucks that litter the Lone Star State, I still prefer El Metate in Tennessee.

Great restaurant. Fantastic food. Little pricy. When you order the same dishes online to take home, they'll give you way less food. And they all pretend to no speak much english.
