Picked up a large to go order around 8:30, food was delicious and staff was very friendly. We received everything in our order, everything was packaged neatly and mess free. Food was still fresh and yummy when we got home.

I am always amazed at the food. It is fresh and delicious. Shrimp salad came load with shrimp. Wonderful pairing with fresh peppers, onions, cucumber, lettuce, and avocado. I can't wait to go back.

I have been eating here for over 17 years. Not once have I ever had a bad meal here. The staff is always fast and polite. The food is top notch and authentic. And the place feels very much like a hometown Mexican restaurant. I have lived all over Texas and despite all the authentic Mexican restaurants and food trucks that litter the Lone Star State, I still prefer El Metate in Tennessee.
