The place isnt much to look at, but I came here to get my new favorite, a cherry vanilla waffle cone in a cup.
Five stars!
I brought my husband. The middle aged lady with an accent and took his order of a choclate milkshake. She immediately turned around and made him a not chocolate milkshake. It was not good, whatever it was. Zero stars
We will not be back
Old school ice-cream shop
Neighbor of ours . We love walking over for a scoop !
Used to be much better. I understand prices have increased every where, but they are weighing everything now. People are not friendly either.
Im so thankful we have this in our community. They have the best ice cream, friendly and helpful staff and good prices. I believe it is the only one left in our area.
Been coming here to Kay’s since I was a kid in elementary school, the bus let us off in front of the old building. Was one of my favorite places then. Still is now.
Atmosphere of an old soda shop with modern-day ice cream flavors. You can actually get a malted milk shake here. The hot dogs are good also

How can you mess up ice cream. $6.00 for a milkshake. Supposedly a large, but I beg to differ.

Good old-fashioned ice cream parlor
Ice cream and service is great but the food not so much, we got burgers and I am pretty sure I saw the worker microwave them.
You can't beat the prices for delicious Mayfield ice cream! Kids' scoops are $2.15, Sundaes start at $4.50, and the flavor varieties are great! My husband got Smoky Mountain Fudge and I got a double scoop- coconut and cherry vanilla! They also have traditional snack bar fare like hotdogs and burgers and nachos. We didn't try the hot food, but we plan to in the future. The only potential drawback is they only accept cash for payment. They *do* have an ATM on the premesis, though.
