Food was awesome, from the apps to the platers, no complaints at all. The Mahi was great along with the hush puppies. Mary was our server and she was amazing.

My family and I went to Steve’s yesterday for lunch and the service was terrible. It was a group of 7 and a baby. She took our order but forgot to bring our fries and my cousins side dish. No one noticed until the end of the meal so we asked her to just take it off the bill. She immediately got an attitude and snatched my aunts bill out of her hand and rolled her eyes as she walked away. She didn’t apologize for messing up the order and instead got defensive about how other people were running her food when she handed the bill back. After, I tried to give her my family’s bill since we got charged for fries but never received them but she had already ran to the back. I asked another girl if they could just take it off and instead she told us she would get our regular server back out here but she never came. My aunt then grabbed both the bills and walked up to the hostess stand to try and figure it all out. I heard the owner tell her “you didn’t tell her y’all were missing anything when she came back to check on y’all during the meal” but the point is she should have just taken the items off the bills, not give us attitude, and deal with it in a professional manner. We could tell she was annoyed with us the whole time and every time we would ask for something she would huff and puff and then bring it to us. Other than that, everyone enjoyed their food but the service made this experience dreadful.

We were in town to get away from the hurricanes and had been scheduled to stay at Smokehouse in Monteagle. As we were at the Flat Top farms, Derrick had informed us that the Smokehouse restaurant was no longer there and suggested Steve's Landing. It was SOOOOO good. It was such a cute local restaurant with really good food. I got the catfish sandwich and it was a very large piece of fish. Delicious!!
My daughter had the boiled shrimp which were really good sizes, and my friend ordered the kicken' chicken (suggested by Derrick).
Every meal we had was amazing. I loved the local feel, the prices were good and staff was fantastic! Highly recommend. Even if you are from out of town, go check it out!

The reviews recently didn’t look great but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the service was quick. Our server was nice and professional. We will be back!

We have been wanting to eat her for a very long time and were highly disappointed! I’ll start with our only positive, our waitress was great and was always there when needed. That’s where anything positive stops!!! My husband got the pork chops, baked potato and okra. The pork chop was barely warm, the baked potato, which was small, was hard and undercooked, it was also cold and the cheese would not even melt, and the okra was cold and undercooked. I got the cajun pasta…..gross is all I can say!!! There was so much butter that it made me sick and all I could taste was powdered milk. I’m not sure how they made the sauce, but mine is better at home! Oh, and it was super cold too! Some of the chicken was seasoned good and other pieces tasted like it was nothing but seasoning! Lastly, the salad, how do you even mess up a salad??? The lettuce was wilted and brown… I know they had to see this when making it, but they chose to serve it anyway. I never leave bad reviews, but this was the worst restaurant experience I have had in my life!

This time ribs were barely warm, baked potato was not hot enough to melt butter. The female waitress was very rushy and not friendly. I asked for ribs to be reheated and before I could ask about potato she rushed off after rolling eyes and smirking. When she came back from the kitchen after at least 5 min I got her attention to return baked potato as it was cold also.
Never once was any of our drinks refreshed. There was 4 in our party all adults over 40. Had to ask for napkins, Cole slaw seemed like it had not been refrigerated.
I keep trying to give this local business a good review but it just seems it's always a hassle with food and service. It was a place we would all go at least 1x a month but the last 4 years it's been 1x every 4 months or so.
The menu is appetizing and good pricing. The food once it is done correctly and at a good warm and hot temperature the food is good.

Extremely disappointed with my experience.

My fiancé and me walked into and she asked if we could sit on the deck they preceded to tell us there was a wait: when we walked in there was 6 tables open clean with no food or people sitting at them.

When we went to order we saw that they had a pound/ half a pound a shrimp on the menu. It was priced at 20 dollars.

We assumed that this meant quite a good amount of food but were shocked to find it meant 12 only (according to other reviews 12 is the max amount you can get for ordering by weight you would get assume they actaully weighed them but they don't) which seemed very deceptive to me personally

We were barely spoke to by the waitress even when I met her eyes she seemed to run past us and only check on us twice and one of those times was for the bill.

Very unfriendly loud noisy atmosphere

Food tasted wonderful but was not worth the money.

Would not recommend it to those on a budget or those who wish to have a quiet dining experience as there were several crying children and loud conversations in this small space.

1 star for the way we were treated and the price.

If you have money to burn the foods good.

Me and my fiancé went here on Sunday because it had good reviews and we had high hopes for this restaurant because of this reason and it looked really nice when we got there . The prices was so high we had to share a dish and even that we only had like three fries each And like five shrimp . We didn’t even get halfway full . We had to order another set of shrimp and we still didn’t get full even then. It was more like a snack. And my fiancé found a hair in his food. No one was friendly or overly nice. Also, we cannot even sit outside because they had half the deck closed so we were really upset about that..because for being on the lake. Just overall a bad experience and highly disappointed. Had high hopes for this restaurant.
