They need to take down that thing they call a fence it's all rusted aluminum and for the amount they charge campers per month they can afford a real wooden privacy fence.

Omg their catfish is out of this world. My husband is disabled and they are so helpful and caring every time we go to eat. Owner has some pretty cool stuff for sale. I always come out of there with something.

I was here with a group of people from NY, and they fell in love with it. It was just like being in a small town place with a small town feel. The ladies were using buttermilk so I knew what we were in for a treat. The food was awesome had just about everything they made and drank some good beer. They let us in the backroom where we ate on the picnic tables by the fireplace. I am now going back in two weeks to Nashville, and will bring someone with me just to stop at this place for some home cooking.

We greeted and welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Just stopped to check the place out because I had seen it online! And it didn't disappoint. Mike was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will for sure be going back to try the delicious looking food as well as hopefully have some of my handmade products on his shelf for sale!! Don't miss out on one unique unforgettable stop!!

Delicious burgers and good service. My friends had the catfish and the chicken tenders and they all said those were delicious as well. My very picky foodie friend was raving over the hush puppies. I definitely recommend this as a go-to in the area. ❤️

Had the catfish meal, wife had the sandwich. After being in Sparta a year, finally got a chance to visit after seeing the hype last year. Catfish was good, crunchier coating than expected, but good. Ample serving of fries, decent cole slaw. Otherwise, the place was not what I expected. Sign said "General Store", but nothing but some candles, $9 jars of jelly, and sodas. "We just recently re-opened, so we haven't had a chance to stock the store part", a girl told us. We noticed dining tables in the back. No one asked or invited us to dine, or where to sit. Staff seemed to be hovering around and chatting. We asked if we just sit anywhere, and the same girl said yes and brought us menus. I ordered an unsweet tea. Wife was offered tea or a can of soda of her choice from the cooler display. The server said, "You can get a soda from the cooler", but she brought my wife's soda anyway. I later realized she had brought me sweet tea. The tea was listed at $2.29 on the menu. Mine was served in what appeared to be an 8 ounce paper cup. That came off as chintzy. As we gave our order, the server explained, "They're selling the place and giving tours today, so we're a little distracted". That surprised me since recently it had been reported the place was under new ownership. Turns out they were on a lease. In walks a big, burly gentleman escorting two gentlemen who appeared Indian or Pakistani. He was obviously giving them the tour. Two young girls galloped through the dining area, followed by two more girls. Our food arrived and we settled down to eat. The girls pounded through and right past us again and again...at least five more times. A few more couples arrived for lunch. The interior was ugly, cluttered with folding tables and cleaning materials. As you drive into the lot, the first thing you notice are the sheet metal walls surrounding this compound. Doesn't look like a "campground". Looks more like front for a business the neighbors don't care to look at. A waste management sign adorns the wall. "Bikers Welcome" greets select travelers, so I guess the Mexican border-style walls offer sound dampening. Nice folks, but slow on service, lacking on hospitality and food feels like it's served picnic style at a company luncheon in the park. Napkins are rolls of unperforated paper towels. So IF the middle-eastern folks purchase the place, I hope they do three things: update the decor and exterior, upgrade the table service, and raise the bar on the ambience from "mid-century, beer-belly man cave" to a family-centric rural diner...without the stampeding younger part of the family running through the dining room.

wow, my husband & I just had lunch here. we had the green fried tomatoes appetizer, hubby the catfish platter and I had the country fried steak with sides. Too much food! We are stuffed, that was lunch, dinner and maybe breakfast. It was so good you didn't want to leave anything! We will definitely be back. Service and Food was by far the best we have had in some time.

April 16, 2022. Family went and had the "all you can eat catfish", & a cheeseburger plate. Had the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Was a fantastic meal and cooked to perfection ! Was so good, we even decided to get a to-go-"country fried steak plate". Nice friendly people, clean, and a very attentive staff. Will most definitely patron here again !

Really enjoyed my experience at the restaurant today! The fried catfish platter was excellent! This place is super dog friendly! They treated my dog to a bowl of bologna and bottled water! Wow! My dog can’t wait to return!
