If I could leave a 0 or a negative review, I WOULD! THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! RUDE REPRESENTATIVE, RUDE MANAGER! Unfortunately where we live we have no other water company. Seriously considering hooking our well back up! I hope those 2 women never have to deal with anyone as rude as they are!
Never had a problem with Watts Bar water....we had an incident where our water was coming out dirty, we called and reported it, Watts Bar came out in no time to address to issue. Another time water pressure was very low, again they showed up promptly and found the source of the problem. Even called back to make sure everything was working properly. They have always been friendly.
Too all people having problems with the auto payments being made with credit card being processed. The company that WBUD uses did an security update and some info was not transferred in the system therefore payments did not go through. WBUD suggest you pay with cash, check or auto through through checking. They really do not want to be answer or spend time looking into what might be the problem. They say they are not responsible for any payments that do not process for any reason even if it is on their end. It does not matter how many years you have had auto pay set up. Payment processing companies have to pay more for credit card payments and a whole lot less for auto draft with debit cards. My guess is that the processing fee difference is what drives this continued credit card processing problem. WBUD just says you need to pay your bills, log onto your account to make sure it posted, if it did not go through, for any reason not there problem. I wonder if we could look into a class action law suit for all these charges when the company they use caused the problem.

Payment issues like other reviewers. Set an autopay direct from checking account. Got an email saying payment automatically processed then next day got a voicemail that there was a payment issue. Keep in mind the same payment info was used for last bill, zero changes by me. WBUD rep on call said echeck tends to be a problem and that only CC should be used for autopay. Did you catch that? They know their autopay has issues. Also said my bank rejected the echeck transaction. Well I called my bank and was told no attempt to withdraw any funds was made and it was likely a processing error on the part of the biller. So now they have charged a late fee jacking my cost 2X original bill. Makes one wonder if some of this is intentional….

WBUD came and set a meter on the property across the road and in doing so they messed up my yard. Called and they said they are not responsible for fixing my yard. So I am stuck fixing the mess they made on my property.
I live alone. I work 10 hrs a day.Shower only 5 days a week , laundry once a week, don't have a garden or any other growing going on. WBUD charges me for 150 gallons of water a day!!!???? If anybody wants to join me in a class action suit against this corrupt company, please respond.
I concur with all of the other comments/reviews. Horrible service, rude people, antiquated systems and processes in relationship to other utility companies in TN, etc…

My payment comes out automatically off our credit card, a couple months ago the card company decided to shut the card off due to them thinking fraudulent charges were made. I called WBUD to change my card on file was told that it was updated now I have came home and my water is shut off. No notice no phone call saying they were fixing to shut it off, absolutely nothing, I have animals week old baby animals that need water and I can't give them any because someone can't call or email saying hey this is what's going on. I would switch to another utility company in a second if I had the option.
Call about a higher than usual water bill. "Well you've had a leak for 3months" well thanks for letting me know. The lady was beyond rude to my disabled mom.
They charge 2000 dollars to set a water meter and can't even put down some straw
I should've dug a well with a spoon rather than have water service from WBUD. They fail on all levels.
Worst utility operation I have ever worked with, hands down. I span 9 counties and have worked with over 22 different utilities companies, and this is the worst one. Not like you have a choice. Unnecessarily long paperwork, takes a long time to process, non-refundable fee to turn on of $100 (most do $25-45), and they have crazy strict requirements that far exceed other places. And shockingly, the customer service reps I have spoken with there are extremely rude and aggressive if you even hint that Watts Bar Utilities is annoying to do business with.
