The place was absolutely full at lunchtime and they did an awesome job of getting my chicken and dumplings to the table quickly. The food was very good, too. Great service, too.
This restaurant is a seat yourself country diner. I had a Western omelet, home fries and biscuit and gravy. The omelet was big and fluffy and filled to overflowing, just delicious. The home fries were lacking, like square french fries deep fried. But the biscuit and gravy was the star of the meal!!! Buttery, crunchy on the outside light and the inside. And gravy you could eat with a spoon. I now understand the popularity of little Springfield staple!

Julie was a great server. Our first time visiting in many years. I got a BLT with a over medium egg and grits. It was so good. My husband got a western omelet with home fries and he loved it. Looking forward to trying their lunch food. They open at 6 and close at 2. We will definitely be back. You can't beat the prices.
