My husband and I were traveling back home to Texas when we happened upon this amazing place. The food and margaritas were on par with authentic Tex-Mex cuisine, even better than some we've experienced. (We've been eating authentic Mexican food for over to 60 years.) The staff were super nice, fast service, food was cooked to perfection, drinks were great, and we didn't find the price as expensive at all. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

They charge a card free which is ridiculous. They should just add it to the food prices. Waitress was great. Ordered the Python Salad which was 8/10, needs more cheese sauce, another got the Hawaiian chicken or something like that 10/10, another got prime steak 6/10 as the steak was very chewy like a cheap piece of meat, and not medium-cooked like asked. Kids got the cheese quesadilla 10/10 & hamburger 7/10, fries 8/10.

Moved to Sweetwater about 10 months ago and El Jacal fast became one of our favorites. Great atmosphere, staff is SUPER friendly and food is great!!

We waited and waited... we never had anyone take our beverage order. Over 15 minutes since the salsa.

Celebrated a friend's birthday today and the staff was awesome, sang Happy Birthday and were very accommodating for someone in a wheel chair and w a stroller/baby. we appreciate everything and will definitely be back! Thank you
